Babadou

I think there is a heavy touch pressing in my heart.
The husband died in order to send his wife to the hospital to give birth.
What a terrible thing this is for the wife, she would rather not have this son.
She is afraid of sleeping, afraid of the night. You can only spend the night on TV shows.
She couldn't control this kind of sadness, but sometimes
she was afraid but anxious. She felt that her son was a burden: playing with homemade weapons, breaking the bridge of
her cousin's nose, and wetting the bed when she was so big... She was like being possessed by Babadu.
Losing a husband is the most sad thing.
I can't imagine the degree of grief the heroine lost her husband.
Able to recognize the grief of the heroine, this movie has been a success.
There are no ghosts in this world. The most terrifying thing is the ghost in the heart. Avoiding, shirking, and being unable to let go of some things are the most terrifying things.

The Babadook quotes

  • Amelia: [Samuel comes out from hiding and Amelia shrieks like a banshee. Amelia starts approaching Samuel, but he starts wetting himself.] You little pig. Six years old and you're still wetting yourself. You don't know how many times I wished it was you, not him, that died.

Samuel: I just wanted you to be happy.

Amelia: [mocking Samuel] I just want you to be happy. Sometimes I just want to smash your head against the brick wall until your fucking brains pop out.

Samuel: [softly] You're not my mother.

    Amelia: What did you say?

Samuel: I said you're not my mother!

    Amelia: I AM YOUR MOTHER!

  • Samuel: It wasn't me, Mum! The Babadook did it!
