blue world melancholy tone

Like me, many people want to dabble in literary films, but they are often hindered by the heavy theme of literary films. Isn't that right, I finally watched a movie to relax, but I was emotionally disturbed by the literary film.
However, today I recommend an American film "Blue Powder". Although this film is a literary film, it is also entertaining as a commercial film. Not only is it not boring, but it is also highly ornamental.
The film has two main lines. Say the first one. A pastor lost his beloved wife in a car accident on his wedding day, leaving a lame leg. The pastor's loss of his wife left him with no love, and he tried to commit suicide several times, but he couldn't. Not because he was timid and lacking courage, but because he was a devout Christian. As a Christian, in the religious concept, one cannot commit suicide under any circumstances, otherwise the soul will fall into hell.
So the priest took all his savings and looked for someone else to help him die. His target was a prostitute. In the pastor's cognition, prostitutes are a group of people who can sell their bodies for money and have no bottom line. So finding them is your best option. But what surprised the pastor was that the prostitute was actually a transgender. Trans people fell in love with another man and stayed with this man while they were still men. In the end, the man chose to leave him on the grounds that he needed to find a real woman. So the prostitute underwent an operation, turned herself into a "woman", and embarked on a road of no return. It was worse than the priest. The prostitute ended up shooting someone, not the priest, but herself.
The other thread is single mother, Rose, starring Jessica Biel. Rose's son is only a child, but he is terminally ill and is being treated in the hospital all the year round. In order to pay for the expensive medical bills, Rose went to a pornographic nightclub and became the top card of the nightclub with her superb dancing skills. Rose's principle is to perform and not to sell herself. One day, a middle-aged man entered the nightclub and showed concern and tenderness for Rose that was different from other men. In the alone time, Rose is playful and intimate with the middle-aged man, and the middle-aged man is very resistant to such teasing and flirting. During the conversation, Rose learned that the man who came to buy art in front of her was actually the father she had never met. Rose's father was sentenced to prison for joining a gang before his daughter was born. Rose's mother told Rose that his father had died. Rose's father has been imprisoned for twenty-five years. After he was released from prison, he received a large amount of compensation from the gang, but at the same time, he also learned that his wife had died, and their daughter had fallen into the dust in order to save her son. He is also terminally ill, and he will die soon. He wants to give his daughter some compensation before it is temporary.
Before the man could express his debt to his daughter, Rose showed hysterical fury at him. She couldn't put an end to the fact that it was so embarrassing and shameful to meet her father on such a romantic occasion. Dad was beaten by nightclub security and thrown out the door.
Rose's mood is very bad, her son's condition has not improved, her father's unexpected arrival, and no news of her pet dog. Perhaps the depression has reached the extreme, and the turning point will begin. She got a call from a stranger and her dog was found.
Rose's dog was hit by a car from a guy who worked in a funeral home while out alone, and was brought home to raise him. This guy is Doolittle, played by Eddie Redmayne, who won the Oscar in 2015. Doolittle was very eager for a love, but because of his introverted personality, he failed in several blind dates. The right people can only truly be together when they meet at the right time. The first time Rose and Doolittle met, they fell in love at first sight, it should be love at first sight. Rose likes to judge the feelings of each other by hugs.
On Christmas Eve, while the two of them fell in love, his son's condition began to deteriorate. The hospital called Rose and asked to be notified of her critical illness. At this moment, the son guarding Rose in the hospital was Rose's father, a child's grandfather. In order to let Rose see his son one last time, Rose's father looked for Rose despite the heavy rain outside, and finally fell ill on the way. In the end, Rose's son was not rescued. That night, the pastor slept in the church and dreamed of his beloved wife. His wife told him that although it is peaceful here, it does not belong to you. The priest woke up and saw the nun looking after him: Bishop, are you back? Yes, the pastor's heart has come back. He walked slowly, opened the door of the church, and it was snowing heavily outside. This snow is blue, like that blue powder falling, wrapping the world in a melancholy tone.
Rose looked at her son's body with regret and guilt in her heart. It's just that she didn't know that at this moment her father had also died on the road, covered by blue snow, still holding a group photo of her mother and herself in his hand. The souls of father and son meet in another pure world.
Rose's world goes on. The nurse informed her that her son's medical expenses had been fully settled, and handed her an envelope containing a gift from her father.
A pastor begins a new love affair with a service worker. Rose and Doolittle live happily together.
At this point in the film, the whole melancholy atmosphere is swept away. The director must be a devout Christian, he always tells the audience a truth in the film, life is difficult and faith is very important. He presents the real troubles in life in a dramatic way. Everyone is involved in each other and affects each other in the choice of life and death.
Finally, I would like to give a thumbs up to the pictures of the film, especially the dances of the heroine Jessica Biel, which are perfect with the music!
