The male protagonist in the film is committed to building the tallest building in North America, and he is obsessed with it. As a result, his wife, son and daughter cannot get the care they deserve. In my heart, it is a cliché story of turning him into "Mr. Mao Mao Pants" through cat transformation to make him re-evaluate his life, career and family, and finally obtain redemption. The good people here are very bastards, and the bad people are very honest. I think the most laudable one is Miaomiao from that pet store, which is really cute.
Although this film is a bit cliché, the story it tells is not novel enough, and the ending can be basically guessed by looking at the title, but I still think it is worth watching. why? Just like the theme of the movie.
What is the theme of the film? Only when people change their perspective can they find that obsession deprives us of more important things, such as family and love. In fact, each of us is the same. In this commodity society where fame and fortune come first, everyone is like this. What are we chasing day after day? Nothing but money. What are the rich chasing? Nothing but fame. To be detached from the outside world, it is often difficult to escape. And the movie just gives us a mirror, we can take a good look at ourselves as an outsider, just like the hero who turned into a cat in the movie.
I don’t know if you feel this way. When we really want to accomplish something, we often have conflicts with the people around us. Or the people around us feel that we have become indifferent, or we feel that the people around us are our resistance. When things get to this point, things are often out of control, and things are estimated to be broken. Have you ever wondered why this is?
The reason is obsession. Our obsession is to achieve our goals, and the obsession of those around us is to accompany us. Who is right and who is wrong? All right. What is wrong? cannot understand each other. What is the ending of the movie? The actor's family finally fulfilled what they thought was the actor's last wish, and the actor realized that family talents are the most important. In fact, they all finally got what they needed at the beginning, and the variable is just attitude. What does this tell us? Communicate and exchange, and turn your obsession into everyone's obsession, in order to succeed.
Speaking of the movie itself, the dramatic conflict is not intense enough, and the portrayal of the characters is a bit understated. It is not a successful work, but I still recommend everyone to watch it, experience the magic brought by the change of perspective, and take a good look at our obsessions. I hope everyone can achieve their goals and turn the resistance of those around them into motivation.
