The film won the Oscar for best actress. It is very entertaining and educational. The following is what I felt while watching it late at night, so I just jot it down.

[1] The civilian heroes of the United States: Americans possess a spirit that the Chinese do not have. ——This explains why Americans are more respected than Chinese in this world?
[2] Even unemployed Americans have a decent home.
[3] Pollution occurs, and disease caused by pollution occurs. Never compromise, even if the other party is a $28 billion group, go through legal procedures and solve the problem through the system. If the system cannot solve the problem, try to change the system (the latter From the classic legal lady~), you will never hold on to the words of your ancestor or a certain historical figure. In fact, history is created by man, and respect for man means respect for history. To respect history is to respect people.
[4] Being threatened by forces, never back down, stand up for justice.
[5] People who work hard will be rewarded.
[6] Everyone’s signature is important.
[7] All lawyers must have an amiable side, but which profession is not?
[8] The focus of this film is not to popularize pollution education, nor is it entangled in legal procedures. The focus of this film is how a person or a small group of people can unite weak masses and fight against powerful enemies. Because of this, the law Professional knowledge is not the most important here, personal charm and working methods are very important.
[9] Persuade the other party to first think about what the other party thinks, and sincerely think for the other party. The so-called sincerity is the spirit. If you are not sincere to serve, you will never know What to say, what to do.
[10] If a person does a job, if the job has already benefited some people, even if he/she leaves the job later, then the person’s life is not in vain-this is why a certain celebrity Say: Why do people live? In the final analysis, people actually live for others.
[11] Five million dollars is a lot of money-for the average American.
[12] For Americans who have received huge compensation, there is no need to be afraid to show their faces. Most people will envy you, but they don't think of murdering you. ——Here, what is missing in Chinese law? What makes China's law lose its majesty?
[13] Never discriminate against anyone, even if you are an educated senior lawyer, looking down on others is the biggest obstacle to your own development.
[14] First, large companies with money (wealth) are allowed to exist, and secondly, the prestige of the law (fairness and justice) is established. Then wealth really only circulates in the world. Everyone will benefit.
[15] The ending song "Everyday Is A Winding Road" (Prince) is great~

  • Ed Masry: You're emotional, you're erratic. You say anything, you make this personal, and it isn't.

Erin Brockovich: Not personal? That is my work! My sweat! My time away from my kids! If that's not personal, I don't know what is.

    [starts to cough]

Ed Masry: Hey, come on. Come on. Go home. Get well. Because you're no good to me sick. I need you, all right? This case needs you.

  • Donna Jensen: [after a meeting] Oh, I made some bundt cake. Let me get some coffee, too.

Ed Masry: [Gets up to leave] Sorry, we have to be getting back...

Erin Brockovich: [under her breath in Ed's ear] Have a fuckin' cup of coffee, Ed.

Ed Masry: [to Donna] Coffee would be great, thanks.

Pete Jensen: [after Ed sits back down next to him] My wife makes great bundt cake.
