There is an impressive scene where Jane goes back to her room by herself to listen to her previous successful work after a falling out with three old friends over dinner. Lonely, sad, unable to surpass one's own sense of helplessness after old age, unable to maintain a high level of loss. She would probably think: Where have I been, the young self-righteous one?
Even though I am young, I still agree with these two sentences:
I do hate getting older. I hate every bloody moment of it. (Wilfred)
