When the war broke out, Eve and Van threatened both sides of the war, and were even tricked by the enemy into recording a video. In the end their good friend Philip rescued them. Philip was injured in his foot and lived alone at home. He was rarely visited by people on weekdays. The only one who could accompany him was his cleaning lady, who occasionally had sex with her.
After Philip helped Eve and Van, Philip often came to their house and gave them small gifts. Philip wants Eve to accompany him. Van was jealous. Facing the destruction of everyone's life by the war, Eve lost his desire for a better life and was eager to get rid of Van and this ruin, but Eve was incompetent. Faced with the army coming to Philip and wanting to get Philip's property, Van put Philip's money in his pants pocket. No one thought that Van really didn't hide the money, just put it in his pocket. The army is just an excuse to destroy everything in Eve and Van and kill Philip. The destruction of all this caused Eve and Van to lose the basic self-esteem of being a human being, and they just wanted to survive. But knowing that Eve still retains his humanity. When Van picked up the gun for the first time, his hands were shaking, and he couldn't pick up the weapon to shoot Philip, but once the evil and violence in the human heart was stimulated, it was out of control. He killed a young child, John, who was running for his life. Even seeing an old man on the boat commit suicide by jumping into the sea, he was not moved.
So, is it still love between Eve and Van? They quarreled all the year round, married for seven years but never divorced. Occasionally there will be little sweetness. Eve said to Van: "You don't know what love is". maybe.
After all their destruction, they are still dependent on each other. Eve said to Van, "What if we stopped talking?". It will probably separate automatically. If there is no communication between two souls, there will be no feelings, not to mention that they are already together in order to survive?
