This is a fun feminist movie with a focus on being fun!

See the title for the synopsis!

The female number one, Elle, is a nearly 50-year-old lesbian, newly widowed, and hot-tempered. Elle's daughter Judy is a strong woman with a strong personality and a successful career. No time to get married, he found a father for his daughter Sage from the sperm bank. The second female Sage (Elle's granddaughter) is a pretty and stupid high school girl. She got pregnant unexpectedly and was about to have an abortion. She was short of money, so she asked her grandmother for help.

Go to extremes! This family does not need male members at all for child rights, three generations of grandparents, all women.

The way the plot unfolds is a bit like a road movie. Elle couldn't give cash to her granddaughter because she had cut out her bank card to make wind chimes. So I loaded Sage, drove a classic car that was about to die at any time, and embarked on a fundraising journey.

Along the way, they meet Granny Elle's young girlfriend who just broke up, granddaughter Sage's selfish and stupid bastard boyfriend, Granny Elle's rich and romantic ex-husband, and mother Judy, who both grandchildren are afraid of.

The story happened in one day, and the outline was roughly explained ten minutes before the movie. The rest of the story consisted of small and interesting accidents, which were clearly divided into 6 chapters, like reading a warm novel. In one go, although there are no ups and downs, counterattacks and reversals, it makes you feel physically and mentally happy, and even tears in your eyes.

Granny Elle wasn't a likable character, she was old and grumpy. When he was young, he was extremely aggressive, extremely violent, and extremely selfish. Marry a man on a sailboat, get pregnant, then sneak off the boat and self-help in a friend's garage. After having a one-night stand with someone else and getting pregnant again, this time she was born and raised with her partner Voliet, but the relationship with her daughter has not been very good. Over fifty years old, he is still extremely aggressive and fierce, but he doesn't seem to be so selfish anymore. After Voliet's death, she found a new young girlfriend, and when she broke up with her new girlfriend, she said aggressively, "You are just a footnote in the book of my life!" Then, she turned and hid in the bathroom and cried. Quarrel in the cafe, quarrel in the bookstore, quarrel at the ex-husband's house, beat up at the granddaughter's boyfriend's house, quarrel and get beaten at the door of the clinic, and threaten the doctor in the clinic with a panda eye.

However, it is such a coercion, the more you get to know her, the more you can understand the sadness behind her anger, the sensitivity behind the poisonous snake, the concern behind her indifference, and the vulnerability behind her strength. It is this hidden softness that poked my tears from time to time.

Granddaughter Sage is the exact opposite of her grandmother, beautiful, stupid, and cowardly. Boyfriend is a selfish loser and doesn't give money for abortion. Fortunately, there is a warrior-like Elle escort. It feels that the director wants to discuss some issues from Sage's plight, such as whether abortion is right, and whether to go to hell after death. Elle has also had an abortion. When confronted by her ex-husband, she responded confidently: "I don't regret the abortion, because it's my own body. I just regret not telling you, that's the only thing I'm sorry about."

Funny What's more, at the door of the clinic, a Christian mother protesting abortion took her daughter to insult Elle and Sage. Elle ran to reason with the little girl, which meant "the world is so big, don't always listen to your mother's pressure." Before she could finish speaking, the little girl gave her a punch. This plot seems to be saying that even if you understand at an early age, the world will always give you a gentle punch from time to time, making people laugh and cry, and sigh.

In general, "grandma" is very comfortable to watch, the reasoning is simple and easy to understand, and the jokes are sweet but not greasy. Within ten minutes of watching it, the positive energy index soared. I believe that there is true love in the world, and there is true love in the world, and human beings are beautiful after all.

The three generations of women are indeed different. After the middle generation came out with strong women, the upper and lower generations became mediocre. We all want to live out a different version of ourselves without being judged by our loved ones, but that's not easy at all.

Every mean and grumpy old lady has some riddled past and a soft heart wrapped in a hard shell. Lily Tomlin's performance is really delicate and nourishing, troubles are everywhere, life always has to go on, and living well is the best consolation for yourself and your lover.
