I love this drama a lot recently, and I finished watching Sophie's series first.

Sophie showed up in the clinic for the first time, with both hands in a cast. She said she had a car accident two weeks ago. Insurance companies believe she is suicidal. Sophie's lawyer advised Sophie to consult a psychiatrist. So sophie came to see paul. Sophie is resistant to therapy, her purpose is to let Paul prove in her report that she is not suicidal.

Paul asked about the accident, Sophie resisted, and said he forgot.
Paul asked how someone told you. Sophie said they said I was speeding down the street. Paul finds Sophie laughing when he says this, and Paul points it out. Sophie has a free association. She had another car accident 2 years ago. The old lady who was watching was accused of hitting the car on her own initiative, but she couldn't refute it because she was injured.

Two years later, Sophie's anger is restored to Paul. Paul pointed out at this time, does the current social worker remind you of the old lady at that time? Sophie didn't accept Paul's empathy.

Paul continued to ask Sophie about the car accident, and Sophie was ready to come up with a report. But Paul didn't mean to read the report and continued to ask questions. Sophie was a little dissatisfied, but answered Paul's question. When Paul wanted to discuss further details with Sophie, Sophie was impatient, a little angry, and said he didn't remember.

Paul asked directly, are you comfortable talking about yourself? Sophie said no. Under Paul's gaze, she began to introduce herself. 16 years old, only child. Olympic seeds. (During this self-introduction, sophie appeared nervous, not interested in what she said, and rarely talked about herself)

Paul asked how daily life was, and sophie said that he was not interested in questions such as "what life is like". Here sophie does a free association, a TV show involving older people. Sophie expressed her opinion that this type of show is a job for the elderly who have nothing to do.

Sophie is not interested in this topic, she immediately asks paul if he can help her to provide proof on the report?

Paul explained that it was not like taking an X-ray and seeing the results right away.

This answer does not satisfy sophie, she says to leave.

Paul didn't speak. (Didn't say yes, and didn't hold back) Watching Sophie,

the two looked at each other for a few seconds. Sophie opened his mouth and said tentatively, Paul, do you want to see the report?

Paul leaves the decision to Sophie¸ if you let me see.

Sophie was surprised and dissatisfied that Paul didn't ask questions about mom and dad like other psychologists. She accused Paul of not reading the report and asking questions because he had been on the phone with her mother. Thinking that she was blinded by Paul and her mother, she opened the door angrily and wanted to leave.

Seen from the back, this is Sophie's empathy for Paul, and Sophie's relationship with her mother reappears in this consulting room. She hopes in her heart that paul is a liar so she can be angry with paul.

Paul wants to accept Sophie's empathy, but he can't lie. Paul uses a hypothetical question: "what if I did talk to your mother?"

This answer fits Sophie's assumption about Paul. Sophie's emotions are released, and the feelings are not so excited.
Paul suggests that at least 3 meetings are needed to get a clear understanding of sophie.

(In these few minutes, Sophie's feelings towards Paul changed, doubt, accusation, anger, acceptance)

(Only a few minutes, the relationship between the two people changed, Paul dealt with emotions first, and then solved the problem)

Paul starts to read the report and Sophie starts to wander around the room. After reading the report for a while, Paul asked Sophie what she thought about death, and speculated that the social worker had asked similar questions, and Sophie resisted it. Paul uses generalization and informative influence techniques to lower Sophie's wariness of the topic of "death" without success.

For the last time, the pual's question changed from "Can you share your thoughts on death with me" to "What thoughts do you have to share with me"

Sophie was uncomfortable with this and replied, "Will this be the case for all three consultations? "

Paul said you would be uncomfortable?

Sophie denies.

Paul discusses her anger with sophie. Point out that sophie wants mom to do something wrong and then gets mad at mom. Sophie said the anger at her mother was because her mother thought what was written in the report was true, and she thought she was trying to avoid the Olympics by getting hurt. Mom never supported her in Olympic training and made Sophie angry.

Paul's way of questioning made Sophie feel that she was in therapy, and she once again emphasized that she was only here to seek advice from Paul, not for psychotherapy. She's here for Paul to write on the report that she wasn't a lunatic who deliberately drove her car onto the road.

Paul made a repetition and asked sophie: is this what you came for? Let me tell you you're okay, you're not crazy?

Sophie didn't answer (avoided) and said that it was time to go.

(The client's reaction at the end of the visit needs attention)
But sophie didn't move. Remind Paul to watch the time. And asked Paul's daughter what if she wanted to call Paul. Paul asked Sophie who to call when she wanted to talk to someone.

Sophie said it was her father, and said that her father had always supported her and believed her. Another person who believes her is her trainer and says she's been baby-sitter for the trainer's daughter.

Before the first session, Paul gave Sophie homework and asked her to read the report and write her own comments.

Comment: Sophie is 16 years old. Parents divorced. Live with mother. I'm angry that my mother doesn't understand my life and doesn't support myself in training gymnastics.
She rarely sees her father, and thinks that her father loves her very much and supports her all the time.

Participated in gymnastics training and was an Olympic seed. Good relationship with coach.

Sensitive, defensive, nervous, and seems to hate himself.

The purpose of the consultation was for Paul to report that she had no suicidal intent. I don't think I need psychotherapy.

Paul deals with Sophie's empathy for her mom during the first consultation.
