The calm blue of the image, the red of blood-splitting, and the dark black of human nature together constitute the color of "Extremely Wicked".
In "Extremely Wicked", Takeshi Kitano tore off the mask of tenderness and focused on showing a gangster world composed of violence, conspiracy, betrayal and killing in a straightforward manner. The so-called straightforward method is to face violence and the evil of human nature. Through this film, the "Blue of Kitano Takeshi" that we are familiar with has been covered with a layer of black.
The film successfully depicts the appearance of a group of villains. As the so-called white and underworld men and women are all villains, each has its own viciousness and cruelty. The traditional justice, morality and affection are all jokes in the face of the naked interest struggle. Takeshi Kitano expressed his reflection on the evil of human nature with extreme violence and darkness, mocking the so-called order and morality of the gang.
I think Takeshi Kitano has love after all, but in this film, his love is conveyed through an extreme image. In short, this movie can be boiled down to one sentence, and that is that bad guys don't end well.
