Can't climb the high wall of fate

If it weren't for the continuous lovelorn of the senior, he would not have come to watch movies with me. If he hadn't made a mistake in the N+N movie time period, we wouldn't have watched "Fate Over the Wall" by accident.

Because of a coincidence, I didn't do my homework before watching the movie. Looking at the protagonist Omar, who is as strong as Spider-Man, climbs over a high wall, and speaks an unfamiliar foreign language on the other side of the wall, I have not yet realized what kind of movie this is. When the three main characters smoked and told jokes in the junkyard, they once thought it was a Middle Eastern version of "3 idoits". It was not until the protagonist was imprisoned and the warden asked him to betray Tarek, the leader of the "Revolutionary Army" in Jerusalem and a friend of Omar, that he understood that this was a political film, a film about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Do a little homework after watching the movie and relive the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We know that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that has continued in the last century is a sequel to the war in the Middle East, and at the same time, it is a racial issue left by Western countries after the end of the colonial era. Westerners have divided the territories of Middle Easterners of different races and religious sects into new countries. However, since the Middle Ages, many races in the Middle East have hated each other and kept Western countries "under the same roof". How can they not fight? Once hit, the hatred deepens.

Jerusalem has always been a land of strife, and multiple religions (of the same origin, to put it bluntly) regard it as a holy city. Occupying Jerusalem is almost equal to controlling the Promised Land along the Jordan River, representing a religious and racial victory. After the war, Israelis and Palestinians "shared" Jerusalem. However, the differences between the two peoples' religions and living cultures led to constant conflict between the two ethnic groups. Israel has repeatedly dominated (backed by the United States?), and the Palestinians can only launch "jihad".

The high wall in the movie, stretching 685 kilometers, was built by the Israeli government in 2002 to separate Israel and the Palestinians. The protagonist Omar climbs the high wall every day, commutes to and from the shop where he works, and visits friends and lovers on the other side of the high wall. Life is simple, but hidden undercurrents.

The above background information was compiled in depth after watching the theater. When I was in the theater, I only knew a little about the skin. At the beginning of the story, there are at most three young people, like the decadent youth in American movies, talking about family affairs while smoking a cigarette. Each has its own belongings, and each has its own love. The "Holy War" that followed was more like a child's play. The three people stole a car and a gun, walked to the place where the army was stationed, fired a shot, killed a soldier whose face could not be seen clearly, and then ran away.

The military's response, however, greatly exceeded the audience's expectations. It only killed "a soldier". They mobilized dozens of secret police officers to conduct extensive raids and torture. In the second operation, I wanted to use Omar to capture Tarek, and even dispatched heavy armed armaments such as helicopters and tear gas... At this time, the audience knew that it turned out that Omar's friend and girlfriend's brother Tarek was the leader of the resistance army in Jerusalem - brave and ruthless The appearance is completely invisible.

The real story begins after Omar's second jail term. The pure and upright Omar was jailed twice and released twice. After he was released from prison, he was suspected of betrayal and his girlfriend. He originally thought that after the successful operation last time, he could propose to his girlfriend's brother, but the operation failed, and his girlfriend was suspected to be hooking up with his childhood friend, Agent. Although Omar and Nadia kissed affectionately, especially in front of him, who can be sure of the woman's sincerity? Especially when your best friend tells you he has an affair with your girlfriend and is pregnant.

When the movie comes to this moment, everyone will feel pity for Omar's integrity and kindness. Omar and Agent "manslaughtered" Tarek. In order to become friends, Omar not only served as a matchmaker for his friends, but also dedicated his life savings to buy a house for Agent. After that, Omar, who once embraced freedom fighters, great youth, and romantic love, returned to the other side of the wall, living a simple life.

It is a pity that fate did not release Omar. Two years later, the warden suddenly appeared in front of Omar and threatened him to confess the Agent and the leader of the new resistance army. Omar had no choice, he climbed the high wall again, and finally found that the truth of all the facts-the kind he was completely caught in the deception of his close relatives and friends.

What the story of Omar will be in the future, the audience can only guess. However, when Omar failed to climb over the wall again after two years, and squatted in the corner crying, I couldn't help but wonder whether people can change their fate.

In the past, Omar was as vigorous as flying, climbing over the wall every day, even if his hands were stained with blood, he also had a smile on his face. Now, he has lost the strength and courage to climb over the wall, the only reason for overcoming the wall, but it is so sad.

The director used a lot of close-up shots to outline and highlight the feelings of the characters, but in this scene, he used long shots to capture the helplessness and loneliness of people under the wall... The youth who used to be full of ideals climbed the wall every day, hoping that the other side of the wall would be better In the future, in the end, he was tricked by fate again and again. The simplest things in the past have now even lost the courage to repeat the old tricks.

The story still has to be developed. With the help of the old man, Omar climbed the high wall again. What awaited him was another trick of fate - a more cruel trick. Omar, who learned of his friend's betrayal, behaved and appeared unusually calm. He asked for a gun, contacted the warden and the new commander of the Jerusalem rebels, and before the gunshots rang out, he told a story he had heard from a friend: a story

about an African hunter catching a son.

He used to be that kid, now he's a hunter.
