As stated in the movie, the
ending is the most important part.
I like the ending of this movie.
At least, it is beyond my expectation that

Mort’s schizophrenia has changed him
like a nightmare and a
completely awake person who
doesn’t know where he is.

The first half is inexplicably slow but especially brilliant (without spoilers), after a sudden inflection point, a clumsy forcing the plot through to get to the next level, and then everything starts to spiral out of control. Uncle Pu, who finally put on the braces, said to the girl in the front row at the convenience store, "It's starting to solve it for me", as if the screenwriter said "Nice job" behind him. With a smile, the camera floated out of the secret window and got into the dense cornfields and gradually moved down to the endless darkness six feet underground. I may remember this ending for a long, long time...
