Indie or In Die

india. This is what I thought of writing the word indie game before I read it carefully.
I know india is obviously incorrect, so I would call this type of game indie in a very localized way.
But take a closer look at the word indie, isn't it in die when you take it apart?
The video asks phli what would happen to you if FEZ failed or wasn't developed.
"I'will kill myself."

There is no definition of success or failure in games. In the current industry, only things that can make money can be called successful games. Presumably this is what the information I have received since my work told me. As long as you make games that can make money, it's good to maintain a stable income and live a stable life. But what's the fun in that kind of life? The

flappy bird became popular, and businessmen began to analyze the reasons, and people who wanted to make money from Dongfeng followed the trend and made similar things. This is the ordinary day-to-day life of the industry as I know it.

The protagonists in the film complete their work and get the results they deserve. But more indie may be on the road of in die. But even if it is in die, as long as the game you make is a projection of yourself, what does it matter if you are in die.

This film attempts to understand the deeper motives of independent game producers. In fact, they were already fixed there when they were touched by games when they were young. What this film presents is the collision between an adult world and children's souls, as well as chasing dreams. The paranoia and diligence of the person due to a small wish. Not for everyone, but tech nerds and dreamers should be moved by this film.

Indie Game: The Movie quotes

  • Edmund McMillen: My whole career has been me, trying to find new ways to communicate with people, because I desperately want to communicate with people, but I don't want the messy interaction of having to make friends and talk to people, because I probably don't like them.

  • Tommy Refenes: The things I've sacrificed are social. You kind of have to give up something to have something great.
