Hollywood-style interpretation of the combination of reality and reality

Whether the emperor is guilty or not is just a non-committal question for the "Emperor Taishang". When he summoned Ferres for the first time and the second time at the Tokyo Daiichi Building, he had already stated his intention: to build a new Japan that believes in American values, Class A and B war criminals will naturally be tried, and as for the emperor's guilt, it is almost impossible It is entirely up to Fellers himself to investigate.
"Emperor Taishang" seems to appear in the form of "show/close to the people", but it is a character who truly controls the fate of all characters. Taking the aforementioned two meetings as an example, while clearly conveying his intentions, he left the responsibility as a hot potato to Fellers, if there was a hint of cover. The scene at the Supreme Commander's banquet, in which a brigadier general advises Ferrers, is a blatant threat. Anyone who knows the personnel composition of MacArthur's headquarters, 80% can guess who a brigadier general is alluding to. The "Emperor Taishang", who is proficient in the rules of the system's operation, skillfully manipulates these "tools" with different performances, so that the machine of the Allied Command advances according to its own will. As long as the parties have the qualifications of Chinese people, they can understand that they are being coerced by the "supreme commander", but if they don't know what to do, even if they are senior generals, they can only follow the drive.
In fact, not the emperor or Ferrers, MacArthur is the real protagonist of the film.
Speaking of protagonist Ferrers, as the title of this review states, he is a mix of fiction and reality. Ferrers himself graduated from West Point in 1918 and has since served in the Army as an intelligence officer. At the outbreak of World War II, he was sent to the British Command as an observer as a mid-ranking officer with recognized talents and had direct reporting powers to the President. After being transferred to MacArthur, he made many achievements as a psychologist, and was the first to be promoted to brigadier general among the graduates of the same period.
As mentioned at the beginning, the mission assigned to him is to pave the way for the promotion of American values. Therefore, his achievements in intelligence analysis and psychology are the main reason why the "Emperor Taishang" assigned him to investigate whether the emperor was "guilty" or not. What he wants to find out in ten days is Japan's "public opinion", not like a lawyer to sort out a case file that can withstand scrutiny in court. The tone has already been set. Whether the emperor is guilty or not is the most irrelevant, so how can he explain it to the emperor?
The backbone of the plot is so dark, there is no suspense as to whether the emperor has retained it for the audience who know where Japan is. So there can only be one love story to balance the structure of the whole story. In several scenes, the audience is given the illusion that Fellers has written a report that decides the fate of the emperor under emotional stimulation, but unfortunately the lovers and the love that crosses the hostility between countries are only dramatic interpretations. There's no need to do more laying out.
The emperor as the title has been retained after the tacit operation of the United States and Japan. Later, he also issued a second-class Ruibao badge to the protagonist Ferrus. Although the "Tai Shang Huang" retired sadly after delivering the speech that veterans will not die, it has already occupied a large place in the history books. Everyone is very happy. Although the end of the film is very heavy: all people wait or be dismissed, demoted, or hanged, imprisoned, but this is really a happy ending.
