Because the movie took a lot of pen and ink on Eazy, I was barely able to accept it in the first part, and when the group broke in the latter part, Dre's various facts and whitewashes began to be distorted. The contradiction between Cube and Eazy is strengthened in the film, including the first break of Cube and the public Diss are described, but those who are really familiar with this history know that the biggest contradiction actually occurred between Eazy and Dre.
When Dre decided to leave, he still had a six-year contract with Rutheless. After leaving, contract disputes with Eazy continued. In the film, the plot of using a baseball bat to force the Eazy release contract did happen, but in the film it was all pushed to Suge Knight. In fact, everyone knows that Dre is also one of the masterminds. In addition, the blatant diss between Dre and Eazy is also much bigger. In Dre Day, Dre and Snoopy Dogg attacked Eazy variously. Afterwards, Eazy responded with Real Mother Fuckin G's. In fact, listening to these two songs, you will know that the sentence is high. It was the one who crushed Dre. After all, Eazy is the only one in NWA who can be regarded as a gangster. Eazy even openly laughed at Dre and Snoop as Studio Gangstas in an interview, which means that the recording room was pretending to be ridiculous, but it was actually a Real life pussy, Dre has no confidence to respond to this kind of ridicule. And the contract dispute mentioned earlier led to the most famous sentence in Eazy's diss, "Dre Day only meant Eazy's payday". This is because Dre is limited by contract, and every song and production will be divided into Eazy. In other words, when Dre wrote diss Eazy's song, he still had to give Eazy a rake.
Another point that makes me more difficult to accept is the description of Eazy's situation after the group disbanded. In the movie, the careers of Dre and Cube began to take off, and Eazy was impoverished, and finally found the two to get back together like desperately desperately. Then Dre and Cube were lyrical and whitewashed regardless of the previous suspicions. But what about the facts? After the NWA was disbanded, Eazy still held the top combination at the time like bone thugs n harmony, including the Dre contract. It can be said that he was still a successful businessman in the later period. The movie described in the phone call with Dre for cooperation is even more nonsense. The conflict between the two who cannot be reconciled cannot have this plot. In an interview with Dre, the reporter asked about the plot. Dre also evasively lied, and finally lied that he had a call with Eazy. After searching for that video, you can see Dre's obvious panic when he lied and a bunch of people under youtube comment. Brushing lair, to be honest, it makes me very disappointed with Dre.
In short, this is a successful commercial film that can quickly attract people who are interested in the origins of gang rap, and even start to become obsessed with these old school hardcore lyrics after watching it. But for those who really understand this history, for the participants in this history, and more importantly for Eazy E, I don't see enough respect.
