Who is sheltering whom?

On the dusty country road, a group of women in black with sad faces, stepping on heavy steps, stepping on weird dance steps, the destination is a cemetery that has been divided into two. Buried beneath are their beloved family members, husbands or sons, fathers or brothers. Aside from wiping the dust off the photos and presenting a bunch of flowers, the only thing they can do is to mourn and hurt. The root cause of all this misfortune is the stupid and unnecessary cannibalism caused by belief in different gods. But this is not a war movie, there is no bloody scene in the film, all misfortune is shown to the audience through the side.

People in the village come from different families and have different beliefs. The men are always divided into parties, far from the unity of the group of women. But whether men or women, Takla's grocery store and Emma's cafe are places to go every day. In these two small spaces, let the men go farther and farther, and the women are so united. The immersion in the outside world and the small contradictions in the interior soon made the men stand on opposite sides, and the conflict was about to break out.

Women came up with all sorts of absurd and ridiculous ways to do this - pretending to be an apparition of the Virgin and inviting Ukrainian dancers. But all this did not improve the relationship between the men, but worsened it. And Nassim's death also provided an opportunity for the women. Sadly his death was not caused by the deepening religious conflict in the small village. Instead, it tells the audience that outside this isolated village, there are all kinds of gun-toting or more serious violent conflicts that take place every day. If the villagers continue to be ignorant, the same tragedy will happen one day.

This was the first time that Takra doubted the god she believed in. The sad and angry woman asked the Virgin Mary why she did not protect her son. It was also from this moment that she completely abandoned her original beliefs, and something in her world collapsed. So there is the final big counterattack, and the women seem to have finally won a victory. (The emphasis on this part makes the translation of another "Wife Chongchong" more appropriate.)

When the overwhelmed man carrying the coffin at the end shouted "WHERE DO WE GO", everything seemed ridiculous. Maybe the conflict will disappear in this small mountain village, but I don't think this group of stupid men really understand the intentions of the wives.

Mommy and wife stand up!! The killer at the end was really unexpected. Although the topic was heavy, humor and singing and dancing were used to interpret it from time to time, and it was very in sync. Most of these mothers-in-law are amateur actors they found on the road, but they handed over a wonderful show!

Amale: [narrating] My story is now ending for all those who were listening, of a town where peace was found while fighting continued all around. Of men who slept so deep and woke to find new peace. Of women still in black, who fought with flowers and prayers instead of guns and flares, and protect their children. Destiny then drove them to find a new way.

Pallbearers: [suddenly remembering that the cemetery is segregated] Where do we go now?
