historical films without MSG

(0427) Tonight at 7:00, went to Wenxer Center to watch "Macbeth" directed by ROMAN POLANSKI in 1971. This is one of four in the Centre's William Shakespeare series in honour of the "Year of Shakespeare".
It's a really good place, with good hardware and good software, so the atmosphere is good. I haven’t watched a big movie so comfortably and quietly for a long time. The ticket price is only $5 (at least RMB 80 or more for artistic enjoyment of this level in Shanghai), and the number of people is less than 1/3 of the auditorium.
The movie is very good, the dialogue is ignorant, but the plot is clear, and the actors are very good.
The most outstanding thing is that the overall atmosphere of the film is very good, a real and serious "tragic" feeling that has been missed for a long time, my heart tensed several times, and finally, it is really sad!
In addition, there is a long-lost feeling of real swords and real guns: scenes, lighting, landscapes, and costumes of characters all have a particularly solid and elegant feeling (you will believe that it was probably that way at the time). The wet, foggy Scottish weather, the distant horizon, the rough castles, the rough living conditions, are especially in place.
There is no "too real and delicate" feeling of today's computer-made scenes. The atmosphere is real. The characters are walking in the mud, confused and painful. You can feel the air of that era, the wind and rain passing by, and the protagonist. thumping heartbeat.
