I also had great expectations for my duty because I watched the trailer.
I originally thought that this film is a scientific exorcism type similar to "The Hidden/Yin Children's Room", but I didn't expect this film to be just a haunted film.
The movie is about a couple who move into their mother's place and a supernatural phenomenon occurs at home. Among them, the husband's repeated "work calls" laid a foreshadowing for the story.
The most impressive thing is the corrosive stain on the ceiling, which is very similar to something in a comic by Ito Junji.
Originally thought that the husband and wife would invite the scientist from the title to come to the house to exorcise the demons. Yes, it was a plot similar to "Latent/Ner's Room". Who knew that the husband turned out to be one of the scientists. . . . . .
The atmosphere in the front of the film is very good, there is a disgusting corrosion phenomenon in the home, the door opens automatically and so on. But in the second half of the episode, it was obvious that the performance was not enough, especially when the husband and wife were quarreling. The husband was outside the room and the wife was inside. Suddenly there was no electricity. Then the wife took the detector to search for ghosts in the dark. Full effect.
It's a pity that the director was afraid that the audience would be frightened. The ghost just appeared, and the movie changed the scene immediately.
Many of the horror scenes in it are suspected of imitating Japanese and Korean horror movies, such as out of body, wrapping people in sheets, especially the dirty black hands covering their faces, which made me trance watching "The Strange Talks New Ear Bags".
It is a pity that the various horror effects and plots in this film are all pointed to by the director, and there is no in-depth exploration. This is the biggest drawback of this film, and there is not even a climax in the back.
This is also where this film cannot be compared with the "Small/Yin's Room", which is also haunted at home.
But as a way to kill time, it's okay to see, not so bad.
