This is the most radical gangster movie I've ever seen. The director adheres to the so-called "no madness, no survival" principle, led by the male protagonist Malcolm McDowel, and all the actors participating in the show put on a performance state and style that can be called "crazy", so that the audience can watch directly. To the hot blood!
The ending part of the film unexpectedly took on a certain meaning of religious redemption. Of course, the final ending of the protagonist Paul should be the word "death" to conform to the old saying "doing too much injustice will kill oneself".
But the inexplicable suicide after being drunk should not be his ending. In my opinion, dying in the fierce gang fight is his due end! (Forgive me, I'm too poisonous with movies).
