To Eternity(william wordsworth)

What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower
We will grieve not, but rather find
Strength in what remains behind.

The once splendid and beautiful scenery
is gone forever from my eyes.
There is no more glorious sunshine
, magnificent grassland,
and gorgeous flowers
. There is no sadness,
we will
draw from everything that exists. strength.

Natalie Wood repeats this poem over and over in the movie Splendor in the Grass
It's the saddest romance I've ever seen as a
teenager Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty are so beautiful and a good match
I don't understand why they didn't together?
I don't understand why Beatty was happy when he ended up marrying a mediocre wife and living a more mediocre life than his mediocre wife?
I also don't understand, after so much experience, how can we just say greetings and peace when we meet again?

Ten years later,
when the green years have passed
When you have experienced love and being loved, happiness and joy, betrayal and hurt,
you have to force yourself to compromise, learn to forget, and
only when realize that life is still alive, with endless worries and many regrets.

A truly complete life
is not the result, but this wonderful process , and the moments of happiness that I have experienced
in this arduous life journey are the courage to live. If a girl has never experienced love but has watched this film 4 times , it is probably A good movie!

  • Wilma Dean: Is it so terrible to have those feelings about a boy?

Mrs. Loomis: No nice girl does.
