The film interprets the contradictions well and captures the audience's attention from beginning to end. My take on this dispute is that a recount is required as part of Florida's current system. However, in the recount process, the Democratic Party, out of its own interests, requires continuous "correction" of other institutional presuppositions, such as reinterpreting vague implementation standards, which lacks legal support. After all, this needs to be done by the legislative side, and all this cannot be achieved in a short time (even if the High Court admits the inaccuracy of the existing system). Therefore, the failure of the Democratic Party lies in the fact that it cannot meet its own expectations by leveraging changes in the system within a limited time. Realistically speaking, it can only be the result.
Having said that, the flaws in Florida's electoral system have existed for a long time, and the eyes of the two parties should not wait for their own interests to be affected before they "patronize". In this sense, both parties have enough time to remedy before and after the event. It seems that no one cares about trivial matters, but as a result, they are eager to make up for it, and the loss of ruling power should be bought as a lesson.
