Years of isolation and integration

Watching a 1988 animated film at the beginning of 2020 is really a magical experience.

In the first few minutes, my mother looked at the screen and was stunned: "Are you still watching cartoons when you were a kid?!" Then the detective came on stage, and I realized that this movie is a world where cartoons and real characters coexist.

In Los Angeles, there is a "Thun City" exclusively for cartoon characters. The cartoon star Roger Rabbit suspected that his wife Jessica had an affair. He often lost his mind when filming, and was ridiculed by his partner doll Harman. The boss Malone hired a private detective Eddie to investigate the situation and took photos of Jessica's affair, so that Roger could make up his mind to cut off his love and devote himself to the shooting of the cartoon series. As the investigation progressed, things were not as simple as Eddie thought. There was also an adulterous relationship. If he promised the matter, he could not give up easily. Eddie had to find the criminal suspect Roger. The truth.

A typical detective story in Cartoon City is full of different humor and thrills. Roger Rabbit’s madness and exaggerated character form a strong conflict with the unsmiling detective who pursues and kills his brother’s murder case. In addition, Disney’s unique two-dimensional animation and live-action three-dimensional dynamics are in the same scene, which is fresh and interesting.

I was surprised that there was such a brain and animation performance in 1988. There was no blindly splicing character styles of different dimensions, but it vividly showed the difference between the two life worlds. Because of the isolation, it seemed that the sense of justice of the detective was valuable. Seek common ground while reserving differences, in a different world, and love a happy life.

sufficient. Ah, sure enough, the luck of a man who loves to laugh is never too bad, even rabbits!

Who Framed Roger Rabbit quotes

  • Judge Doom: [deleted scene] Rummaging around in a lady's dressing room? Tsk, tsk, tsk. What were you looking for, Mr. Valiant?

Jessica Rabbit: Last week, some heavy breather wanted one of my nylons as a souvenir.

Eddie Valiant: Look, doll, if I'd wanted underwear, I'd have broken into Frederick's of Hollywood. You know damn well I was looking for Marvin Acme's will.

Judge Doom: Marvin Acme had no will. I should know; the estate's in my jurisdiction.

Eddie Valiant: Oh, there was a will all right. And she and R.K. Maroon killed him for it.

    Jessica Rabbit: [offended] That's absurd!

Eddie Valiant: Someone else is in here looking for the will, too. Probably Maroon's flunkies.

    [gestures toward the gorilla bouncer]

Eddie Valiant: I would've caught 'em, too, if Cheetah here hadn't have interrupted me!

  • [Roger is sitting outside of the Acme factory, crying while looking at pictures of him and Jessica]

Roger Rabbit: Oh Jessica, please tell me it's not true.

    [sobbing]

Roger Rabbit: [the pictures are of Roger and Jessica's wedding, them at a beach, and them hugging at a restaurant booth]

    Roger Rabbit: [sobs] P-p-p-please.
