Salome must be very happy

This afternoon I soaked in the Les Halles cinema and watched two films in a row. Where Are We Going Now is a Lebanese film full of sadness and joy. Female director Nadine Labaki wrote, directed, and starred in the Cannes-inclusive film - the current female directors are very fierce, Salome must be very happy. In fact, I think this is a matter of course, I care about Lebanon, not female directors!

Of course, after investigation, the director did not set the story background of this film in Lebanon, but in a fictitious village where Christians and Muslims live together. I tentatively believe that such a village does exist, and by expressing the deepest maternal love of women, the director tries time and time again to keep men away from fighting and even killing due to religious differences. His ideas and techniques are very innovative.

Amale: [narrating] My story is now ending for all those who were listening, of a town where peace was found while fighting continued all around. Of men who slept so deep and woke to find new peace. Of women still in black, who fought with flowers and prayers instead of guns and flares, and protect their children. Destiny then drove them to find a new way.

Pallbearers: [suddenly remembering that the cemetery is segregated] Where do we go now?
