I don't like "rock and roll" movies, except this one

A few days ago, I watched a rock-themed film, Get Him to the Greek. It's not ugly, it's fun, but after watching it, I feel a little...how to say, angry.

To be honest, I've never been a big fan of so-called "rock and roll" movies, comics, and even books. Once upon a time, I liked to watch it when I was a secondary school + pure white, but I don't like it anymore, because it's too fake, and many people probably don't understand rock music and rock musicians at all - such as "Blooming Flowers", which is extremely funny Books - even, at a high level, to cover this subject with no clue about how the recording industry works and the rules of the industry, and rockers are in movies/books/comics of this type, not fuck women (OR men ), it’s drugs + alcohol, or it’s just like NANA’s day-to-day flirting, or it’s just adding boring political labels and hype, so the things made are fake, yes, Let, people, think, get angry, get angry.

Anvil has already been downloaded on my hard drive, and I haven't had time to watch it. Probably because I was very angry after watching the above film, so I decided to find a good film to watch and adjust my mood. It was rated as the annual rock DVD on a certain website. The candidates for the first place naturally have a certain level.

After watching it, I was deeply moved... I want to say that this film is a true depiction of the real life of rock musicians, their life, work, family, their efforts, and the difficulties they will encounter. They are also human beings, they will have all kinds of constraints, and they cannot be lawless. How can there be so-called "rock stars" like Get Him to the Greek? No matter what the agent is doing, he doesn't care about it (well, when I watched the film, I thought he didn't have an agent at all... laughing to death), find any reason for the concert to be delayed, fool the staff of the same class, and don't soundcheck before the performance, if There is such a person, he can't survive in this industry, no matter how big your wrist is, or, to give a special example, your wrist is as big as AXL Rose, you are always late for performances, don't soundcheck, fool people, but you You can still post videos, and there are also stupid/forced fans. You are the stupid/forced representative in the industry. You haven’t released a single work for many years. Anyone can scold you, and everyone is ashamed of being like you.

I don't deny that The Story of Anvil has sensational elements, but the problem is, those sensational or dramatic plots are real in this industry, and the director just put them together, so it can be a movie Movies, their real real life is definitely not so dramatic. What do people who play music usually do at most? That is rehearsal, endless, boring rehearsal, but no matter which movie or comics I have watched, like NANA, the "musicians" in it don't seem to need rehearsal and practice, It’s not good to just come to a show and be successful. I’m not free to talk about love, to engage in handsome boys, beauties and drugs. No wonder now I want to be a band star and become a star. What China’s Got Talent is so popular, even the rock star Nima’s. So good.

Rock stars, or whatever, they're just stars, and they're actually -- let's be honest, they're part-time workers -- who do they work for? That is the record company. The record company is their leader. Once they sign a sales contract, they have to work hard for them. The bosses and managers of the capitalist world will not let them idle. Sora is as idle as the "musicians" in some works, talking about a little romance, having a little ambiguity, and traveling when they have nothing to do, their schedules will be filled to the limit, the bigger the wrist, the more There is no time, because the agent and the company want to extract the residual value from them, they will arrange performances one after another, they will be on TV non-stop, and they will go to various places to sign sales and meet fans. They are so busy that they don’t even have time to go home. , still have time to do something else? The process of mainstream record companies in Europe and America is, release the film - after releasing the film TOUR to promote the new film - TOUR ends and releases the next new film, and so on, otherwise you think that the European and American big bowl bands take 2-3 years to release a new film It’s not that they write songs for a long time and record songs for a long time (BTW, recording in the studio is calculated according to time, renting a recording studio is super expensive, the longer the time, the higher the cost, generally 1-2 months). Just get one, a CD like AXL can be done for more than 10 years, he is a fool/unexplainable), but because the tour, that is, the tour time is too long, the big bands are generally A global tour, from the Americas to Europe to Asia, this tour is like a circus. It is possible to go outside for a few years, and there is no time to return home. The frequency of performances is high, usually immediately after a city is finished. Just go to the next city, the daily routine is usually to sleep until noon, wake up and step on the venue, SOUNDCHECK, and perform at night, so that there are 3-4 performances every week, just like going to work on business, you think they still have Time to play around? Still have the energy to play around? And the so-called "leisure time"?

Really, you don't need to glorify (demonize) the profession of "rock musician" in some works.

As for whether "rock musicians" are as rich as they say in some works, and they spend money, LIPS said in The Story of Anvil that 99% of the bands work for nothing, and they don't get paid after the performance/release. It's definitely not an alarmist, no one else will say, I still understand the hardships of the old OZZY, yes, there is something, a musical instrument, a car, and a house, but I won't give you cash. No reason is given, and you have to keep working, otherwise there will be triads to give you good fruit to eat. The essence of the entertainment industry is that triads are not fake at all... A few years ago, American screenwriters went on strike with their chins. It is always the people who are "company" who make the most of the money.

...I haven't talked about it for a long time. It seems that I have endured some works for too long. I clicked the name of NANA several times. In fact, I don't hate this comic. In fact, I like it. From the perspective of romance comics, I just can't get over it when it comes to the band; then the Get Him to the Greek, the only thing about rock stars in this movie that I think is real is the relationship between the pig and the drug, the actor is said to be a former addict and I think the screenwriter must have referenced a lot of JUNKIE's BIO to write that kind of lines. As for the other...let it go OTZ, it makes me angry enough to write such a long article to see how fake it is.

So let's go back and talk about Anvil, the lead singer/guitarist LIPS of Anvil band, and drummer ROBB, these two are really cute. They have known each other since they were 14 years old. They formed a band because they both like rock and roll. LIPS has a cheerful personality. No, there is always a smile on the corner of his mouth, ROBB is steady, mature, a pair of best friends with complementary personalities, and the founder of the band.

In the 1980s, there were a few good films, which were popular for a while, and then slowly, AnviL went downhill, and it has been a miserable mix since then. When filming documentaries, LIPS' job was to cook lunch for children. ROBB is doing interior decoration, and music can only be said to be their sideline. In fact, when GRUNGE was popular in the 1990s, many METAL bands were so hilarious, including the guitarist VITO of the famous WHITE LION band, who was also seen by gossip a few years ago to drive a taxi in NY, and so on. There are really many... The heavy metal bands that have survived to this day are all real players. The mid-range and not-so-famous ones have been washed away by the big waves, and ANVIL is one of them.

But even so, ANVIL's dedication to music is still so strong, and they still haven't given up. Although they are 50 years old, they still retain the passionate attitude towards music in their 20s! There are several tears in the film:

1. I performed in a shabby bar in the Czech Republic. After the show, the bar owner didn't give me money. For that little money (it was said to be 100 euros in the end credits), LIPS almost got into a fight with the boss. This is one of the few times in the film when he doesn't smile.

2 The band members slept in a small airport in Europe; they caught the train and didn't get a ticket, with a disappointed expression on their faces, while the Czech agent on the side was calling daddy and grandma in bad English.

3 Interview with LIPS' sister and ROBB's wife. The words of the two ladies are very touching. LIPS' sister is very supportive of his brother's career. In order to make a CD, he needs 10,000 euros. My sister lent it to him; ROBB's wife just looked at it...it made me want the type of awww. It can be seen from the clothes and clothes. I guess she was a fan of her husband back then. She said that she still loves HAIR METAL in the 80S era. Keeping my dreams, I have a heart with me><

4 In that unsuccessful tour in Europe, there were not even 10 people in the audience, but ANVIL still performed seriously><

Anyway, I regret why I didn’t watch it earlier, Look for a chance to watch it again in the future.
