The saddest movie ever. Cross-editing and combining paragraph techniques, emphasizing speed, creating suspense, and sticking narrative. It analyzes the tragic roots of the various eras that the director thinks, and gives a full-fledged answer, which is equivalent to letting people in 1916 see things in 2016.

I don't know if this is the first work in the history of film with a multi-line parallel narrative? When several stories reached their climax at the same time, it brought tears to my eyes. When watching it, it is inevitable to think of "Ben-Hur" and "Heaven's Gate" and other big-budget productions, those gorgeous Babylonian dances... [The quality of the restored version of the theater is very good, the Blu-ray should be fast! 】
