As a journalist, she prides herself on 300,000 readers and writes for their demands (and our newspapers have even more readers), she gets help from the police to find criminal files, she gets help from MPs to get her She could not go to places to collect evidence, she would have two police officers behind her when she went to interview, and she had 24-hour police protection after she was shot.
This is not Ireland, the biggest problem here is not the drug trade, there is too much to write about.
But I still want to pay my highest respect, because that glorious thorny road that Veronica Guerin walked was the beginning of everything and will never fade.
