This movie was watched on the evening of June 13 at the 2010 Shanghai International Film Festival. For me, this film festival is an oolong journey. One of them is this time, this movie, I took the ticket of "The Last Flight" in the Daguang Cinema at the same time and went to Century Shanghai to watch it.

Because the film festival bought a lot of tickets at once, every day I have to take out what I want to watch that day. At noon that day, I checked the movie tickets for the night, um, it was not Heping Movie Metropolis, but Daguangguang, and then I silently reminded myself to go out from Exit 19 of People's Square Station. After get off work, I bought a pancake and fruit at the subway station and set off to the cinema. Oolong's came... When Da Shanghai entered the venue to check the ticket, the GG who checked the ticket looked at my ticket a few more times, and then he tore the ticket and let me in; When I entered the venue to find a seat, the ticket said "1st floor, 12th row, 1 seat". When I saw it, there was only one floor on the first floor and the second floor. In my impression, I saw that No. 1 was a good seat in the middle , but when I found row 12, I found a big number in the middle, and finally found No. 1 on the edge of the wall. At the beginning of the movie, "Irish movie "Five Minutes in Paradise" was played on the screen. At that time, I was shocked, "What? Not "The Last Flight"?" I thought it was not the projectionist who put it wrong, let's see The people around were very calm, so I thought that I had encountered the legendary film change, and everyone knew about it, but I didn't know it. After watching the movie, I still went to the ticket office to check with the staff: "Excuse me, why did you adjust the movie at 6:45 tonight? I bought "The Last Flight", how can I change it to "Five Minutes in Paradise"? ?" The staff took my ticket and started reciting "Great Brightness..." I realized that I had gone to the wrong cinema! In embarrassment, I asked the ticket sales GG, then I went in and watched this game without buying a ticket. How should I deal with it (the subtext is whether to make up the ticket)? The ticket sales GG said that this show is over anyway, and the show you were supposed to watch is over, so that's it (I guess I can't snicker in my heart), I quickly escaped after saying thank you.

Later, I called my classmate to tell her about it. She laughed and commented, "It's like something you would do"... But I was still devastated. Why did the GG who checked the ticket let me in? Could it be that he actually saw that my ticket was wrong, but he thought I really wanted to watch this scene and wanted to get away with it, so he did it for me?

After the nonsense, let's talk about the movie.

In the beginning, when the young people carried out assassinations, it reminded me of the group of passionate youths in Lust Caution who said, "If you don't kill, you will start school." They are also hot-blooded youths with strong hormones. Daqi, the former is a religious struggle - too little understanding of religion, I dare not comment too much, but I secretly think that some people use religion as a pretext to incite others, and then seek their own interests. They are eager to be in the limelight, but in fact they do not have enough courage, or in other words, they are not outlaws like terrorists. Whether it was Aristal's hesitation about where to put the gun before going out, or the panic of a few accomplices when they encountered a passing military vehicle in the car, people felt that their assassination was so absurd. The assassination went well, and then it also succeeded in destroying an entire family.

In the process of the two going to the TV station by car, there are some scenes interspersed. We can clearly see how much the assassination has affected Joe. He lived for 33 years after his brother was killed, but he did not witness it. In the pain of preventing and becoming the object of her mother's scolding and resentment. So he was neurotic, chatty, irritable, obedient on the surface but cursing everyone. The murderer Aristal, on the other hand, is composed, calm, and restrained, and he is a successful social activist who uses his own experiences to persuade children who have gone astray. Two people with diametrically opposed personalities, each performed brilliantly. I can't even help judging their true emotions with some of the points I saw in Lie to me, like Aristel's swallowing gesture, thirsty drinking, fingers intertwined while waiting for Joe to come in in the studio, It shows that he is nervous; and some changes in Joe's face are also in line with his intention to kill. So I have to sigh, it's really two actors. The live broadcast of the TV station came to an end because of Joe's outbreak.

So Aristel ended up with Joe in her own way, a man's way. The two returned to the place where the incident happened, a short distance from the door to the upstairs. The use of the camera made people feel very nervous. I couldn't help but think of the bathroom killing scene in "Psycho" without the fear of blood. It's very touching here. Aristel didn't come for death, but death was a relief for himself, but if Joe killed him himself, Joe would have no chance to live a normal and happy life. He used the simplest way to let Joe express his inner anger during the fight. After his head was broken, he said "enough" and told the truth of the assassination in the past-there was no just reason, just to show off-cruel but It's the truth, he reminds Joe to put his heart on his wife and daughter, not waste it on someone who's already done him harm. I'm not asking for forgiveness, I'm just standing in Joe's position, hoping that he will put down his hatred and resentment and live his life well. I just think that Aristel's method is really touching compared to those who just want to seek forgiveness from their victims for the sake of their own souls no longer tormented. Because it may really be impossible to forgive an enemy who killed one's own relatives, and the murderer would have endured eternal spiritual condemnation and repentance. For a truly repentant murderer, apart from the victim, he may feel more guilty because of this incident. A person who loses a normal life due to events. If the victim can walk out of the shadows and live an active life, I believe that the guilt in the murderer's heart will certainly be less. There is one detail, Aristol's home is empty and deserted, he is alone, and he blames himself all the time, while Joe has all the elements of a happy family, a gentle and considerate wife, two lovely and smart daughters - who is more pitiful? ? Happiness is actually very close, but Joe was blinded by hatred and shut himself out. For the two of them, Joe put down his hatred and returned to the family, and Aristel could finally no longer bear the burden. There was no reconciliation, but they completed their redemption.

Regarding the two people in the film, in addition to the sharp contrast in character, there are also some interesting similarities, like reincarnation. Aristel dealt with the nervousness of guns before killing people, and Joe dealt with the nervousness of knives on TV; Aristel talked in the mutual aid group, and Joe finally sat in the group. Joe even tried to open it with a joke, though it wasn't funny; he didn't say a word before covering his face and crying. Laughing and crying shows that he really came out. Mr. Schindler is still so handsome when he is old, and his acting skills are even more perfect. The actor who plays Joe has never met, but the two can be said to be on a par.

The director's approach is very realistic, nothing fancy, maybe this is the difference between European films and American films? But the film is even more moving because of this restraint and calmness. Watching bean fans have expressed that they don't understand why Marion Cotillard and his wife received the so-called "The Last Flight", which I don't know.

PS1: It turns out that the Irish say "yes" instead of "yes", they use "Ai".
PS2: The only French film I bought at this festival was accidentally replaced by an Irish film, so I missed the French film. By the way, I found that I actually chose five German films, and it was still under the circumstance that "Under the Berlin Sky" was not purchased.

  • Joe Griffin: 2008: [Thinking to himself] Well, here you are, pal, a fully signed-up member of the celebrity circuit of life's victims: men in love with donkeys, twins stuck together by their bullocks, elephant women who can't get out of their chairs, and now you.

  • Alistair Little: Time will heal they say... what everybody says about everything. The years just get heavier. Why don't they tell you that? Nobody tells you that!
