The difference between life and imitation

After watching the movie and reading the comments, I realized that it was the movie of the Iranian film master Abbas. No wonder it can arouse my interest in watching movies, and I also wonder how there are so many talented directors in the world now, but they are still old acquaintances.

In the movie, as the writer's male protagonist, he invented a theory that if the imitation can achieve the effect of the original, it will be no different from the original. So the heroine, who has never tasted her life, used an example to refute the writer's concept. What she wants to prove is that life and imitation are completely different.

Since the two of them are considered husband and wife by many, the heroine simply takes on the role of wife, assuming it is their fifteenth wedding anniversary, and returns to the hotel room where they were married. The female protagonist can play well, but the male protagonist cannot.

What does all this mean? My superficial understanding is that life itself cannot be replicated, and it is also worth cherishing.

The distinction between true and false is worth pondering, and the difference between false and true is admirable.

Very interesting formal experiment, Binoche's divine acting skills, the three languages are interchangeable. Abbas cosplayed a piece of Hou Hsiao-hsien's [Red Balloon] (long talk in the car, reflection on the glass), the role in the story is similar to [In the Mood for Love], and it is also a French talk movie. The problem is that the original Abbas is really gone (it turned back), and this time it was a "dungeon"? The characteristics of Abbas are preserved in the sound-picture relationship.

  • James Miller: It seems to me that the human race is the only species who have forgotten the whole purpose of life, the whole meaning of existence is to have fun, to have pleasure. And here is someone who's found their own way to do it. We shouldn't judge them for it. If they're happy and enjoying life, we should congratulate them, not criticize them.
