No emotion, be yourself!

She was not as miserable and desperate as she imagined.

The story tells the story of a middle-aged woman who went through some clichéd twists and turns after the Jedi reversed. An old woman, falling in love with a little lover, must end with a cup. This is a scene in many movies, and it also triggered a series of murders and the like. The fuse of the big event.

Women are always more emotional and will always be hurt by being too involved.

But what I want to say is that this story is not the same, not a simple feeling as written in the introduction, at least I think so.

Seeing perfection is the biggest flaw. The numb life makes the heroine fall into a bottleneck. In fact, she just needs some stimulation to adjust herself. Artists seem to be like this. Stability cannot stimulate potential and inspiration, nor can brilliance. What she needs is stimulation. ! What is needed is passion! Even pain and hurt, that's what a genius must do.

The heroine doesn't love TOM, as she said herself, where does her love come from? It's just excitement, passion, and of course TOM is not, vanity, use, pleasure, not so profound, very simple mutual use, but only by the heroine's painful tears because of encountering a bottleneck, it seems a little noble.

I watched it online on PPS, the subtitles are a bit funny, I don’t know if it’s because of the translation, at least I think the most shocking paragraph is the one that really shows the heroine’s character. When TOM said that he wanted to pay back the money, Julia showed pain and sadness, but what she said was just a line, and the exact line she said to the jazz in the restaurant at the time "I have no friends to talk to... We continue to meet. Well..."

Yes, as her teacher said, life outside the play is false, and like what her son said, she was just reading the lines.

I don't think she's been hurt. She's been like this all along. Is this a happy revenge? It's just a routine part of her drama stage, she's always been like this, flawless, it's just that people who think they're smart think they've entered her world.

Feelings are worthless or valuable in this film. Although it seems to be a love chapter, the word "emotion" has never appeared at all. What this movie is saying is, be yourself, because there is only yourself, be yourself, you are Julia, be Julia.

Only one person's world can be very powerful!

Being Julia quotes

  • [repeated line]

    Julia Lambert: T-O-M !

  • Julia Lambert: As a matter of fact, there is a play that interests me. It's about an older woman has an affair with a younger man.

    Lord Charles: Oh, a farce!

Julia Lambert: Why do you say that?

Lord Charles: Well, because everyone laughs at the older woman.
