escape and persistence

The man was escaping treatment and the possibility of death. He was so tired that he even deceived himself, saying that he gave up treatment and thought it would be fine this time.
When his condition worsened again, he avoided facing it directly and chose to be angry in front of a guest. Maybe he knew that he was not good enough and wanted the woman to leave in anger.
Because of the woman's perseverance, she saw through it, she knew this man, loved this man, trusted this man, firmly believed that everything happened for a reason, and even turned over n trash cans.
I've always wondered why women can't say "I love you" all the time. The middle sentence I won't leave you doesn't mean I love you. The straightforward and kind-hearted she can always point out the destructive side, "the shortest skirt", "taking art history class again", and sees that she may be a little pessimistic because of her ex-boyfriend, and she is afraid that this is the same as that person treats her on a whim. But this does not mean that she is afraid of the shortness of love. Trust has nothing to do with time. When she knew that he escaped because of too much desire to live, and he gave up his life to pursue short-term beauty, she knew that it was not only him who needed to be strong and face.
I've also been thinking about the last night when a man woke up holding a woman from behind. In that painting, the man hugs the woman from behind, the woman opens her eyes and the man closes her eyes. No matter how brave she is, maybe the pressure is too much for her soft and slender.
The restraint and modesty of men feel familiar, and I wonder if others feel it when they see it.
I am also timid, always running away, people without attachment have to face the wall and think. I like the sincerity and kindness and sometimes madness of the grass-roots mother, which is a bit like the heroine.
ps. This may be the first movie I didn't watch with Chinese subtitles (can't remember), because the dialogue is very simple, and it doesn't affect understanding if you don't understand it.
