a beautiful movie

If ever there was one music that could represent the American spirit, it would undoubtedly be country music. It represents what the American spirit is all about—freedom, unbridled, unrestrained, independent, dignified, and love, its sadness and passion rooted in America's sparsely populated highways, fields, motels and country bars in the twilight.

The film tells the story of several country singers, their love, pain and their passion for country music. At the end, the hero Beau bid farewell to the sad experience, returned to the country bar, and performed a country song that only belonged to the two of them with the Chiles who came to find him.

Let country music slowly ignite you.

The final attribution is still very good, although it is a bit old-fashioned, country music should be in a small bar in the country, just like cross talk should exist in a small theater!

Country Strong quotes

  • Chiles Stanton: Don't make me say it.

    Beau Hutton: Say what?

Chiles Stanton: You're being very rude right now.

Beau Hutton: Tell me what you want.

    Chiles Stanton: Nothing.

    [they kiss]

  • Chiles Stanton: [singing] ... whiskey drowns and the beer chases my blues away.

[she sees Beau on the doorway]

    Chiles Stanton: Oh hi Beau.

Beau Hutton: Ever be here to wish me good luck?

Chiles Stanton: I'm on board. I'm playing three songs tonight.

    Beau Hutton: Says who?

Chiles Stanton: Says James Canter, that's who.

    Beau Hutton: Bullshit.

Chiles Stanton: Bulltrue. I happen to be a consideration as an opening act for Miss Kelly Canter. James, my new manager, booked me this gig as a rehearsal. Not that I need it. I've been waiting for this moment since I was four year old.

Beau Hutton: Last time I saw you sing, you froze up like an ice cube.

Chiles Stanton: That was seven and a half months ago. And it was just one time. I'm not playing county fairs anymore. I'm much more seasoned.

Beau Hutton: You don't have any songs. You can't even play the guitar.

Chiles Stanton: I've been writing songs. I got a whole bunch of them right over there.

    [points at her dresser]

Beau Hutton: [reads the titles of the lyrics] Little Heartbreaker, Summer Girl, Rinky Dinky Town... these aren't songs, these are rides at Disneyland.

Chiles Stanton: [sings mockingly] I've got friends in low places where the whiskey drowns...
