Looking at these two persistent uncles, I was really moved. Playing metal is physical work, but the 50-somethings feel like they're fully charged when they step onto the stage.
Stick to your ideals and make yourself feel alive.
There are people in this world who are still alive, and they begin to forget their original intentions, and are slowly replaced by daily trivial matters. It seems content to be able to eat and drink in their spare time for three or two days. The world is getting smaller and smaller, and the heart is getting smaller and smaller.
Well, maybe most people are like that. So they seem so different, so touching. Although there has been no big hit, even if they have been discouraged...I mean, but with this love of rock, they will not give up no matter what. This is enough to be admired. They are still doing mechanically boring jobs day after day, just to earn a source of life. But as soon as the spotlight is on, they go from everyday little people to the energetic selves they most aspire to be.
Thankfully, they met Sacha Gervasi and brought their real life to the fore, which led to this documentary. Fortunately, because this film became popular, they have signed a label, so that they can continue to release their 14th album.
The lead singer LIPS is emotional like a child, grinning happily because of a small achievement, and crying because of the quarrel with his brother. When speaking, the tone of voice always fluctuates greatly, and the joy and anger are palpable. It's hard to imagine that such a urchin-like person has gone through half his life and is a 51-year-old uncle. .
Drummer ROBBO, who loves to draw, is a loyal partner of LIPS. I think if these two people are not so well matched, one is childish and the other is calm, the band would not have disbanded after so many years. ROBBO is the strong backing of LIPS, no matter when, he is waiting where LIPS needs him.
Worth mentioning is the film's soundtrack. I don't know which band did it, it's kind of like a post rock. In short, it sounds very good~ Especially when ANVIL is low and confused, and at the end of the end, they appear when they stand on the streets of Japan in a novel and satisfied manner, which is just right. It's such a light taste, but it really touches people deeply.
