Actually we all like Deb

We're all talking about Jane's intelligence and kindness,
we're talking about Deb's big boobs , we're all talking about
Jane's beauty even though she's fat,
we're all talking about Deb's weird look even though she's thin ,
we 're all talking about Jane's beauty Wanting Jane, a chubby but kind woman, to be happy,
we all thought Deb, a slender woman with big breasts and no brains, disappeared.
...
In fact, we bystanders have always been judging people by their appearance.

J's kindness gained our sympathy for fat girls and deepened our disdain for skinny D. But have we ever thought
that the Jane we see is actually Deb.
What we see is not only J's chubby appearance, but also his super brain power.
But what really moved us was her love for others and her optimistic character. And these feelings are brought to us by Deb, not Jane.

It's just because we have similar sympathy for fat girls, so we focus on the point of view that "even if you are fat, you can find someone to love you if you are smart and kind and cute."
But we seem to have overlooked that this kind and optimistic character belongs to D.
What we like should be D, who has a kind and sincere heart under the support of J's strong brain.

Drop Dead Diva quotes

  • Fred: I've heard about physical attraction before, chemically I understand it but I've never experienced it.

Jane Bingum: What, you've never had a crush?

Fred: Up there all I meet are dead people.

Jane Bingum: Well, forget it, okay? Stacey's out of your league. You'll be setting yourself up for a world of hurt.

Fred: No no no, you don't understand! I look at this Stacey, and I, and I can't help it. I wanna, I wanna do her grocery shopping, wanna, wanna re-roof her house. I wanna... hunt animals and bring her the MEAT.
