Why would Eastwood love Howard Hawks??

This is the first time I've seen Howard Hawks' film, and the reason why Dongmu admires this is mostly because of his extremely neat narrative photography and strange cutting angles.

But I have to say, the logic of the whole film is even more peculiar:
1. Gary Cooper was struck by thunder, and Lei became a Christian...
2. It turned out to be publicity, and it would be beneficial to follow the church...
3 . The best actor looked at the history of the United States seriously, and then suddenly, somehow bathed in the "magic light", he realized that he had to kill the enemy...
4. The major taught Cooper, freedom, freedom, and millions of Americans for the sake of Freedom is still fighting... Oh, it turns out that they traveled thousands of miles to Europe to fight a war for "freedom", I'm cold...
5. It seems that everything has the credit of religion, is it because the Germans who fight are not religious already? ..Others are still the origin of Protestantism...

Finally, Tennessee gave the protagonist and his wife the land they had long dreamed of, and they entered a beautiful new life...Well, the key is to get what they want, anyway, the land is not the people's .

On the contrary, in the first half of the idyllic poem, it is more romantic for the poor farmers to chase the beautiful village girls, but it is also a bit too fairy tale.

The village girl is good looking, Joan Leslie, very sweet.

Alvin: Well, you'll be takin' care of things from now on, George.

    George York: Sure will.

Alvin: Guess you'll be needin' a man-sized gun. You can have my rifle.

  • Zeke: [of Tennessee senator and 47th Secretary of State, Cordell Hull] I mind when Cord Hull weren't knee-high to a bull frog. Runnin' around in his shirt-tails. Just goes to show you what a fella can do if he gets book-learnin'.
