If you've ever struggled with eerie dreams, maybe this movie can bring back that unspeakable feeling when you're awake.
I hate watching literary films, and I hate experimental films even more, but I have to say that I am amazed and horrified by the expressiveness of the experimental film masters, especially the female experimental film masters. All the touch, taste, hearing, vision, and all other indescribable distorted sensations that are buried deep below the cerebral cortex and often trouble you in dreams, hangovers, ghosts, sleep paralysis, and all other indescribable distortions, are covered in the 24 grids of light and shadow. The performance is dripping, this is really a wonderful thing, the pleasure is far greater than the flying of plants or electronic music.
So I often wonder if their brains really look that different from mine, as outrageous as I can't understand why she's in love with a 14-year-old Japanese boy.
