handsome, beautiful, tough, lonely, crazy, love

Watching this movie for Norton.

The first half is pleasant to watch, the girl is too beautiful and too young, Norton is shy + cute (but a bit older than that girl). And passion scenes. And Norton's first meeting with his girlfriend's brother, which was so well done. How could anyone not like him?

I don't understand why the girl's father can't accept him and see through him at a glance. How did he do it? Norton is very decent, asking for permission from his father before taking girls out, and he is also very friendly to children. How can it not be recognized, because there is no job, no ability?

Until Norton gave the girl's younger brother a shot (Norton's shooting posture is so handsome!), I still don't think anything too bad will happen, maybe at a critical moment, the little boy can save his sister and escape from the house.

But when Norton started stealing. I know it's going to be bad. He began to become unrestrained, indicating that his brain was not very smart. If a person has no temperance, he is not far from death.
As for his changes, I still feel incomprehensible. If a normal person is rejected by his girlfriend's family and can't get what he wants, he won't collapse. So I think Norton's spirit is inherently problematic. So this story tells us, don't fall in love with someone you meet on the street, maybe what happens is unpredictable.

Then he shot his own woman and took her brother, and I just couldn't bear it. I don't know what will happen.

In fact, it took me half a day to continue watching. The ending was okay, he died, not too ugly. The little boy thought he was a good man until the end. But his girlfriend actually scatters his ashes for him in the end. After all, he is the one who shot him once, doesn't she hate him? ? Maybe she just died like that? ?

I watched the English version without subtitles. Can understand 80%, fortunately they speak very simple, very life.

I don't recommend it, but I think there are still some doubtful places in the plot. But if you love Norton, you must not miss it! !

PS: The girl's father is a tough guy who doesn't talk much. I also like tough guys~~~~.

Down in the Valley quotes

  • Harlan: I've tried living down in the valley again, really tried this time. Walked up and down it looking for one open face, but most people I've meet hardly seem like human beings to me anymore.
