What is touching is that what sustains such a difficult family is the deep love between each of them. Although Nick finally got rough with Meb, his inner anxiety and unspeakable pain were etched on his face like a knife. At the beginning of the movie, he refused to work overtime in order to spend the holiday with Meb, and tried his best to correct the worker's misunderstanding. His wife was crazy, to the disappointment and painful admission that his wife was crazy, and later to invite many relatives and friends to hold a PARTY just to surprise his wife who was going home. He loves Meb. There are three children, and she is the protector of her mother. At the end of the movie, Nick wanted to quiet Meb alone and carried the children upstairs. The children were afraid that their father would hurt their mother, so they stopped Nick, ran downstairs over and over again, and drove Nick away from Meb.
The movie is lengthy, it's all about life details, there's a lot of dialogue, but everyone does a great job. I think that one or two people in a movie perform well because of a great actor. If a group of people perform well, then thanks to the director.
Also, I don’t know if the director has another meaning in it. When I watched the part where my mother-in-law was going to kick Meib out and the doctor wanted to give her an injection, I seemed to feel a kind of fear. Looking at her mother-in-law's ruthless eyes, a kind of ruthlessness that normal people attack abnormal people. Who can say that he is normal.
