love is not necessary

The film vividly shows the psychology of an old man. I can only describe it with vividness, because I have not been able to appreciate old age for the time being.
The movie is about love. not discussed in depth.
The film is entangled in the question of whether a man loves a woman's beauty or her soul. Because men have been unable to determine whether they really love her or whether they are only attracted to beauty or because beauty affects the understanding of the essence of women. His own final conclusion is that he loves both. However, being alone for a long time and needing space, coupled with low self-esteem towards his old age, made him shy away from being with women. Admire the strength of men after losing lovers and friends. There is a "hard" feeling. I don't know if Ben didn't act deeply enough and didn't show that kind of restrained sadness, or the plot really arranged for the hero to be so strong. If the main purpose of the film is to show that love is actually a dessert rather than a staple food in life, the director has succeeded. After watching this film, I feel that love is not a necessity of life, you can live well without love, and the most important thing is to live well. I myself appreciate this.
Another highlight, without a doubt, is the beautiful heroine. The unadorned beauty of nature is suffocating. The rounded and flawless curves are truly captivating. Indeed, it is a work of art! Heart exclaimed: This is a woman, God's masterpiece. Maybe it's too beautiful to have time to appreciate her acting. But it can definitely be said to have performed the charm.

  • George O'Hearn: Beautiful women are invisible.

David Kepesh: Invisible? What the hell does that mean? Invisible? They jump out at you. A beautiful woman, she stands out. She stands apart. You can't miss her.

George O'Hearn: But we never actually see the person. We see the beautiful shell. We're blocked by the beauty barrier. Yeah, we're so dazzled by the outside that we never make it inside.

  • David Kepesh: I think it was Betty Davis who said old age is not for sissies. But it was Tolstoy who said the biggest surprise in a man's life is old age. Old age sneaks up on you, and the next thing you know you're asking yourself, I'm asking myself, why can't an old man act his real age? How is it possible for me to still be involved in the carnal aspects of the human comedy? Because, in my head, nothing has changed.
