36 General Administration.

Let God's to God, and Caesar's to Caesar.

Quai des Orfèvres, the crime investigation unit of the Paris Police Service, is in charge of major criminal offences, similar in nature to the FBI in the United States and Scotland Yard in the United Kingdom. Because the house number of this department is No. 36, the 36 General Bureau comes from this.

There are two departments under the 36 General Administration, one is the anti-gangster group for short, BRI for short, and the other is the serious crime group, short for BRB; which is responsible for cracking down on gangster gangs and detecting group crimes, while the latter is responsible for detecting formal cases such as murder.

This film revolves around the two departments under the 36th General Administration, among which Leo Linkos, the head of BRI, and Nice Klein, the head of BRB, are two important protagonists.

The story begins with four seemingly unrelated things -
one, a group of people broke into a bar and raped Leo's friend (an informant), an old prostitute Manu Bellina;
two, Leo I stole the house number "36" to bid farewell to a colleague who is about to retire;
3. The answer to robbing a cash truck seven times in a row needs to be solved urgently.
4. The head of the 36 General Administration is facing a transfer, and Leo and Nice are the candidates who are expected to take over.

Leo led a few colleagues to avenge Manu, got to know the gang of bad guys, and stripped off the clothes of the odds and threw them into the wild;
the superior demanded that the case of robbery of the cash truck be solved as soon as possible. Who did Leo and Nice do? The case will take over the position of the head of the 36th inning, although the current head is more optimistic about the practical Leo, and hates the power-chasing Nice; at the
same time, another important figure Leo's former informant Cyrian is released from prison and finds Leo. In exchange for the information of the robbers of the money-carrying van, they took Leo's car to shoot the enemy who put him in prison (an informant in Nice), and hoped Leo would keep this secret; Leo chose to accept it and began to investigate the case.
Under Sirian's clues, Leo discovered the robber's lair. However, just as he was about to close the net, Nice, who hoped to get credit, showed up ahead of time. After a shootout, Leo's partner Eddie was killed.
Leo, who hates evil, wants Nice to pay for this, not only at the funeral and in public demonstrations with his subordinates, but also at the collective resignation to get Nice's punishment.
However, the fact that Leo hid Cyrian's murder in order to obtain information became a proof of Nice's revenge, and Leo was sentenced to 7 years in prison as an accomplice; Nice, who was acquitted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, accepted the head of the 36 General Directorate Location.

After Leo was arrested, Nice, who monitored Leo's wife's phone, learned that Cyrian brought 20,000 euros to help Leo's wife and daughter live.
During a chase, the car carrying Leo's wife and Sirion rolled over countless times and came to the side of the road. Nice, who rushed over first, shot at the people in the car, claiming that it was Sirion who killed Leo. Wife he killed Cyrian again; but this scene was watched by Virgen, the female servant of Nice.
Leo began to serve his sentence, and Nice took the position of the head of the 36th General Bureau. The former colleague of Leo, Didi, humiliated the other party at the promotion reception in Nice and was fired from the police station; some of Nice's direct descendants were promoted one after another, but Vergen chose to go to a remote one Small places to be prosecutors.

Seven years later, Leo was released from prison and began to look for clues for his wife's death. He found Didi and Vergen successively, and gradually learned the truth of the matter.
Didi was found out by the group of people who helped Leo avenge Manu and eventually became a vegetative person, but he told the group that Nice was his companion.
Leo found Nice at a police station cocktail party, but he finally chose to leave the gun to the other party to deal with it himself; Nice, who rushed out to defend, was killed by the revenge gang.

The plot is roughly like this, and here are some of my own thoughts.

It is refreshing that the French can make police and gangster films contain a literary atmosphere, and the lyrical music replaces the fatal electronic music in Hong Kong films.

Not all movies need to be subtitled like Intimate to tell you that time has passed or that it has come back in reverse. The 36 General Administration made it clear through a radio broadcast directly after Leo was released from prison.
It's just that when I saw Leo's daughter suddenly grown up, I suddenly had a biting feeling about the abstract concept of 7 years.

I'm still thinking, if I were Leo, willing and defending an informant who killed people, and went and solved the robbery so that no more people would die under the robber's gun; that's really an option.
The problem is that people who make choices are so vulnerable compared to the rigid laws without any emotion or reason. Because you don't compromise, more people die under the guns of robbers; compromise is inevitable after all. , how to do it, is the question.

A detail that determines the ending of the story, Didi was beaten by a group of people when he met Leo after he was released from prison in a bar. Leo said that this person must have been seen somewhere. In fact, they were stripped and thrown into the wild. Guys, and it was Didi who ultimately channeled their resentment towards Nice that led to the end of the story where the villain, Nice, had no escape.

This is probably the so-called, mind determines the pattern.
It is the old saying: let God's to God, Caesar's to Caesar.
