"Mom, I need you"

Almodovar moved me again. "High Heels" expresses the strongest emotions with vivid expressions, and speaks out the story between mother and daughter.

As the daughter of a famous singer, her mother's achievements are unattainable. No matter how well Rebecca does, she will always have a little bit of lack of self-confidence deep in her heart. Always: "Admit me, praise me, love me!"

Isn't that talking about me? Us poor little children.

The most moving scene in the film made me sad: the first night when my daughter was put into prison, it was the premiere of her mother's concert. The mother on stage endured her heartbreak and dedicated the first song with restrained sadness. Her daughter, the incredible Spanish song played, (Piensa en mi by Luz Casal), the inmate's radio broadcast the concert live, and the daughter covered her ears in the prison bed, writhing in pain, begging the inmate to put the The radio is off.

But Almodóvar is not talking about confrontation. In all three films about mothers, there is a strong warmth. Behind the plots full of murder, crime, and transgender people is a strong warmth, just like the closing sentence of "Return": Mom, I need you.

At the end of the film, the mother printed her own fingerprints on the gun before she died, bearing the blame for her daughter. When she confessed to the priest, she said: "Even if I lied, so what? I am her mother, and I shall be responsible for her. When the mother died, the window of the basement facing the street spilled a gentle sunset into the room, the daughter threw herself on her mother, mourning for a long time, the camera slowly and solemnly faded into black, like a painting depicting a tragic scene, The film ends in such warm sadness.

In the airport lobby at the beginning of the film, she is wearing a red handbag with Chanel red glasses and a diamond checkered pattern. The film is colorful, with red lips, red shoes and blue walls everywhere. The echo of the high heels is a longing and resentment for motherly love. At the end of the ward, she cried and confessed when she opened the window at the request of her mother, "When I was a child, I always liked to hear your high heels gradually go away." The pale mother on the hospital bed behind her was resting. She turned back, the white bed and the blue wall and the window were noisy, and she lay down beside the bed and cried bitterly. Almodovar's cinematic aesthetics are too moving.
