English speaking notes

Just watched the ending of the first episode. A good detective story should have a complicated ending, while a bad story will give a so-so explanation to the murder that happened earlier. Obviously this TV series is okay, and the heroine's words can literally choke people to death. I find it interesting and intend to keep a note. Cursing is a must for people who want to be harmful. If someone bullies me, I will fight back and smash these sentences at him/her.
In the second episode of the first season, the
staff complained that there were too many bottles and cans to be checked. The heroine said mercilessly: You'll be really busy. So I won't hold u. The

victim's husband asked to see his wife's body, but His wife had been dismembered and lay on the dissecting table. The heroine made a very expressive gesture and replied: But now she is not how u remember her.

A bald head said to the heroine: Your hair looks great. The heroine froze for a moment and said: yes, thanks, I like yours too. Almost made me laugh.

The heroine's order was not carried out, she said: I got to know where I stand. I'll arrest him by myself. Thank u very much. Say the last sentence with a murderous look.

Det. Lt. Provenza: I was wrong.

  • Brenda Leigh Johnson: Are you trying to encourage me or make me nervous?

Asst. Police Chief Will Pope: I'm just trying to figure out why you're so damn confident you can get this woman to help you.

Brenda Leigh Johnson: Well, because, Will, I know a little something about admiring the boss and finding out he's not the guy you thought he was.
