Wearing tinted glasses to criticize tinted glasses

I thought it was okay before, but after checking the profile of Ben Stein, I felt extremely disgusting. He was originally a staunch creationist, and this movie became a prejudice to criticize prejudice, and it also used the guise of academic freedom. It's disgusting to promote his argument. When a reporter in Vancouver asked him about so many criticisms of his film, he actually replied: It's none of their fucking business. A typical American religious nuts! I hope this kind of people will stop using freedom as a guise and insult the word freedom.

Not wanting to get caught up in too many arguments, an intellectually honest person is able to discern the truth of the information for himself. The truth will eventually be self-evident, and as a small human being can't be arrogant and claim to know everything.

Let's not discuss whether intelligent design is the truth or not, because it is in the status of a speculative theory like Darwin's theory of evolution. But Ben Stein's interviews with Darwinian scientists are brilliant and shrewd.

Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed quotes

  • Ben Stein: What if after you died you ran into God, and he says, what have you been doing, Richard? I mean what have you been doing? I've been trying to be nice to you. I gave you a multi-million dollar paycheck, over and over again with your book, and look what you did.

Richard Dawkins: Bertrand Russell had that point put to him, and he said something like: sir, why did you take such pains to hide yourself?

Ben Stein: [voice over] But, if the Intelligent Design people are right, he isn't hidden. We may even be able to encounter God through science, if we have the freedom to go there. What could be more intriguing than that?

  • David Berlinski: Suppose we find, simply as a matter of fact, that our scientific inquiries point in one direction: a creator. Why should we eliminate that from discussion? 'Strang verboten'? How come? Why?
