At first I thought it was "Night of the Living Dead", brutal killing, blood splashing. Has all the characteristics of a typical horror movie of this type.
After seeing the shadows of "28 Days Shocked" and "28 Weeks Shocked", the original potential of the madness was stimulated, and the unprovoked killing was like prehistoric, more like hell. I haven't seen Nicholson's "The Shining", which seems to be a one-step movie about hallucinations. I will go back and watch it someday. If I guess correctly, the film also borrows a lot of elements from this film.
Three summaries, a Quentin-like layout and screenwriting, a fairly novel narrative mode, and of course the occasional nauseating shot. It feels like Natural Born Killers and Pulp Fiction. All in all, a very Tarantino movie.
I don't know why everyone's ratings are so low, I'm curious. What the director or the screenwriter wants to express is by no means a romantic drama with a successful elopement of the hero and heroine. Of course, such movies still do not seem to escape the happy ending of a happy reunion. I personally think that it is enough for everyone to die. Huh, that's a bit violent.
The information passed on by the director inspired me a lot, the heroine who used a mask to show the person, the tyrannical Lewis (how to have the same name as the boxing champion). Clark, who is easily influenced by some veneers, and the male protagonist, personally feel that they are not as full as other characters. It seems that a few of them are not infected, but in fact they are all infected. In my opinion, everyone is a victim and everyone is a perpetrator. When disaster strikes, fly away.
Black humor is one of the major forms of expression, and some people may think that the expression is unreasonable. For example, the woman's husband died, and the woman started the dance with seriousness. Perhaps these scenes are one of the reasons why this film is not accepted by the audience or is not well rated. Hallucinations, deceiving oneself, and abusing others, the several gimmicks in this film are still fascinating and interlocking. Of course, reality and illusion are mixed together, which makes people confused at times. But the director still mastered this degree very well. Not messed up. When watching this film, I sometimes imagine myself, whether it is abusive to others, or self-deception. Whether you are blinded by other things, messing up your own square, or you don't know what you are doing.
The primitive animal nature is contained in everyone's heart, perhaps subconsciously. Suddenly I feel that this film is close to a non-commercial work, and the connotation expressed is not clear in one or two sentences.
Overall, it's a movie that gets you thinking.
