Tin drum, I only beat three times

It is very inappropriate to choose this time period to watch the Tin Drum.
Because now is a time of peace.
It was a very harmonious period.
No war, no fascism.
People are full.
You can go out for a walk.

It is very timely to choose this time period to watch Tin Drums.
So many days, so many things happened.
I feel that writing nothing has no power, because nothing is worth watching.
Heartache for those who have passed away, and sadness for those who are alive and afraid to speak.
I finally feel how powerful the system is, it can make everyone believe in something that everyone does not believe.
Finally feel how fragile reason is, it can be pushed up by some logic that can no longer be absurd.
Finally felt that there was no news to read.
Because you don't need to watch it.
Because it's the same everywhere.

Tin drum, I only beat three times.
Because I'm always only three years old.
Because we are always only three years old.

These are all recorded.

[Return of Shanghai Film Festival] Schlondorf's masterpiece, won the Palme d'Or and Oscar. Adapted from the novel of Günterglass, the film reveals the history of Danzig through the ups and downs of the dwarf's life and weird perspective, the contradictions of human nature and the darkness of the Nazis, the absurdity and strangeness are tragic sadness. Impressive scenes: perspective from the womb, blue Danube, sex and soda powder, horsehead eel, child and drum, the ending is pulled away from the camera. (9.0/10)

I think this film is really not my style. The editing is fragmented, although there are also absurdities, although there are sighs of life and the metaphorical atmosphere of fables, but I don’t think it is very easy to understand, and as a film, it is still a beautiful film with a few shots. Saying it's a story from the Polish region sounds like typical High German with an accent.

But Santa Claus was really... the gas man! There was once a toy merchant. His name was Sigismund Markus... and he sold tin drums lacquered red and white. There was once a drummer. His name was Oskar. There was once a toy merchant... whose name was Markus... and he took all the toys in the world away with him.

  • Jan Bronski: [Jan arrives and sees Alfred getting dressed in Nazi uniform] Going to the demonstration?

Alfred Matzerath: Yes, at the fairground. A mass rally. Lobsack is speaking, and what a speaker he is. I tell you, these are historic days. A man can't stand asie. You've gotta join in.

[looking at the newspaper Jan is carrying]

Alfred Matzerath: You should read the Danzig Sentinel. Your siding with Poland is crazy. I've told you a thousand times.

    Jan Bronski: I am Polish!

    Alfred Matzerath: Think it over
