Everyone is an island, and books are the plates under your feet

A poignant and decisive departure, what a ridiculous and sad thing when the realized dream is stolen by the real villain.

The story is old-fashioned, and the language of the shots is relatively poor. Thanks to the actors' well-placed and vivid performances, especially the performance of the scheming lady, the innocent and vicious display really makes people grit their teeth.

I think that's how real women's films should be, that men and women are always equal, that the world is always full of mean people, and that suffering also emerges in joy.

Things do not have eternal life, so rely on inheritance, and in bookstores, no one is alone.

    Christine: You're so bloody kind.

  • Narrator: [Voice over] Mr. Brundish lived alone in the oldest house in Hardborough. He didn't particularly like his own company, but after long years of battle, he had reached a lasting truce with himself. He adored books with the same passion with which he detested his fellow men.
