Everyone in the town knows and is familiar with each other. After I went to middle school, I moved out of town. After that, I went back almost once a month. However whenever I came back to the town and came to this convenience store , the couple would always call my name accurately. They still REMENBER me. My appearance in childhood was very different, but they still could recognize me as quickly as possible. The most surprising thing is that as the business became more and more prosperous, the couple hired some shop assistants (their relatives or friends), but no matter how many years have passed, the shop assistants seem to have not changed. They spend their youth, middle age and even possibly old age here. I often wonder if time will stay still at this couple's convenience store. Many urban cities outside have changed almost every day,but this convenience store still displays the oldest shelves. Although there are more and more types of goods, nothing else has changed.
This year, before I came to Seoul, I went back to the town to visit my grandparents, and I went to the couple's convenience store again. The couple is much older and they have some wrinkles on their faces. They seem to be about to retire, because I found out that their son is in charge of the shop most of the time. Then I realized that it was not that the time in this store was static, but that my childhood memories would beautify everything.
