A surreal suspense movie

The main tone of the film is dark, and it is a world covered by ice and snow. The whole film gave me an uneasy and unreal feeling from the start. The whole city is white, there are no extra vehicles and no extra pedestrians on the road, so after killing the first person from another character of the heroine, this film is beyond reality for me and there must be other tragedy occurred. The heroine can be said to have experienced tragedy since birth. Her twin sister was abandoned by her father due to deformity; she lived in a repressed family; she never had any social interactions; her only friends growing up were also plastic sisters; she suffered bullying at school, etc. Wait. Regarding whether the change of the heroine is supernatural or schizophrenic, I am more inclined to the former. Because the heroine's mother is indeed pregnant with twins, and the heroine's twin sister is indeed abandoned by her father, it is detached from reality to look at it as a schizophrenia. The whole film covers many social issues, among which I will not go into details about family and campus, which have been hot topics in recent years. I mainly want to talk about abandoned babies. The first time I came across this kind of literature was Mr. Kimura Takuya's "Cross of Nothingness," in which parents who murdered their children were eventually punished by law. In this work, the abandoned deformed child turns into a ghost, accompanies the heroine, appears when the heroine collapses one day, and guides the heroine to swap bodies with himself to take revenge on those who once hurt him. In the end, he killed his father who abandoned him. Maybe most of these movies about teenagers have the same ending, so when I saw the heroine's life at the beginning of the movie, I subconsciously thought that the whole movie would have a tragic ending. However, because the content of the play is detached from reality, it is very different from the domestic campus themes in recent years, and it is very novel. So this is why I focus on the part about abandoned babies here. It is the introduction to the film's transcendence, and it is also the biggest highlight.

  • Airam: Am I not doing what you've always wanted to do? Saying what you've always wanted to say? Everything you didn't dare?

    Maria: Maybe.

Airam: It's about time for the truth to surface, don't you think?

    Maria: I guess.

  • Airam: I remember all of those things. All of those things that you choose to forget...

    Maria: No, no...

Airam: But I won't let you forget, Maria, because that's what real friends do. They share their pain. And you have so much inside of you.
