Matt Damon's new film, Stillwater, tells the story of a middle-aged American father who travels to Marseille, France to rescue his daughter, who is in jail on suspicion of murder.

The whole film was shot in Marseille, France, and it combines the Catholic atmosphere of Marseille, the many dilapidations mixed in modern times, only speaking French, and Arab issues. It is natural and helpless.

This story is a bit mythical. The destitute father was imprisoned in the United States for drinking and beating others. After he was released from prison, he worked hard to earn money, and went to Marseille after his daughter was imprisoned for five years.

The daughter, who lost her mother when she was young, was raised by her grandmother. In order to escape her family, she went to study in Marseille, France. The person suspected of killing was her gay Arab French girlfriend.

The middle-aged and destitute father went to Marseille to find that there was something wrong with his daughter's murder. With empty pockets and a language barrier, he chose to live in, and he went to investigate while working odd jobs.

The filming of the film was slow and relaxed. My father won the help of a divorced young woman in Marseilles and moved into her home. At the climax of the plot, it was XXOO, but it stopped abruptly at the end (no spoilers).

Matt Damon, who starred in "Saving Private Ryan" 23 years ago, is middle-aged and obese, but his face is full of vicissitudes. Appears to be more powerful.

According to the probability, half of the world's people will encounter various crises in middle age, and they will come out with lasting endurance and silent forbearance, which is more meaningful than a Tsinghua professor in his 70s who rolls up his sleeves and sings "Youth".

The impermanence of life is always more catcher than the fancy ones, which Matt Damon, who wrote "Good Will Hunting" when he was young, did it, especially when the case in the end of the show drifted through his eyes.
