Superman, as the top three most popular characters in American comics, there are many film and television works with him as the protagonist. But I feel that in the past decade or so, Superman in movies or TV series has often made fans or passers-by feel dissatisfied. I always feel that the main problem is not with the actors, but with the producers, or rather the directors.
The performance of "Superman and Louise" as a CW TV series is eye-catching enough, from the actors, the director, the visual effects, and the costumes, all of which are quite standard. The original plot is quite surprising, and the easter eggs that pay tribute to the comics are also full of sincerity. The colors and lenses are also quite cinematic.
When the trailer was first released, many comments were complaining that Louis was too old, Superman was not handsome, and so on. But as long as you have the patience to watch, the performances of the main actors are very convincing and will become more and more fascinating.
Although there are obvious shortcomings in the first season, such as some routine plots, and the final battle that has been shrunk in a hurry. But the overall quality is still pretty good. Hopefully the second season will keep up.
