I think the reason for everyone's bottom line is that they are angry at the behavior of the female prosecutor at the end. Although I am also angry, this is really a good film, and the woman did not escape. Several scenes alluded to the criminal's behavior. There is surveillance, the woman escapes and there is no time to inspect the house where the criminal has stayed, and the police that follow will take everything in their eyes. The criminal has calculated everything, he didn't plan to let everyone out alive at the beginning, the last words he said to the woman "everyone is looking at you" and "good luck" are already very suggestive, for this woman. For prosecutors, exposing what she did, ruining her career, and letting her spend the rest of her life in jail, would be more desperate than killing her outright.
And I really want to praise the actors for their acting skills. They are really integrated with the movie. Their behavior at each stage happens naturally, and there is no trace of performance at all. It takes a while to realize the movie. By the time they are actors, they are too real and vivid. It will take many years for most domestic movies to reach such a level of coherence (not to step on means to sigh). The last thing I want to praise is that I can finally hear a relatively standard and friendly Chinese language in a foreign film, and I am moved.
