First of all this is a comedy.
Second, this is a revenge movie.
Secondly, this is a propaganda film calling on everyone to pay attention to mental health.
Everyone in the film has more or less their own personality disorder, which makes one wonder if the hazy weather in northern Europe or Neanderthal genes caused such a high incidence of mental illness.
An old horse who has returned from Iraq, has serious violent tendencies and does not know how to communicate with his adolescent daughter. Facing the tragic death of his wife, he needs a real image to take revenge, so as to relieve his guilt for not being able to accompany his wife, and fulfill his responsibilities as a husband and father in the midst of bullets.
However, his daughter did not understand his actions. In his eyes, his father was a violent, war-torn man. Beating people is his profession, and it's a vice he can't get rid of. So she can only tell each other heartfelt with her little boyfriend.
It is three otakus who provide the old horse with this "truth": Otto, Eamon and Leo. They are respectively good at logical probability, face recognition and cracking systems. In a series of coincidences, Otto witnessed the tragic death of Lao Ma's wife. Out of guilt for the living, based on his own reasoning and the result of Leo's system cracking, he pinpointed the suspects of this tragedy: the elder brother of the Knights of Justice, Lao Ku and his younger brother, Xiao Ku. According to the reasoning, the two of them planned the train accident in order to murder the younger brother of the renegade gang, and Lao Ma's wife was one of the innocent victims of the accident.
Knowing the truth, the old horse is like a clockwork wound, and begins his revenge journey with precision. With the quick twist of the neck and the crisp trigger sound, Lao Ma successfully killed Xiaoku who was having sex and most of the gang's active forces, and the future and the celebration, Lao Ma and Miyake found that they chose the wrong revenge object.
There was no conspiracy behind the train tragedy, as Otto reasoned. Xiaoku, who was originally thought to be an important suspect, was verified and did not return to China at the time. The seamless criminal process of the two brothers deduced by Miyake is like a glass box built by coincidence, which seems perfect but shatters when touched.
Both Lao Ma and Miyake fell into deep disappointment and self-blame. However, how could Lao Ku, who lost his soldiers, lost his generals and his younger brother, be willing to give up. At the end of the film, Lao Ku took the remaining gunmen from his gang to Lao Ma's house and kidnapped Lao Ma's daughter and daughter's little boyfriend. The old horse had to obediently put down his weapons and surrendered. However, Miyake and the Ukrainian mustache they rescued on the way to revenge, a total of four people came down from the sky. After a burst of fireballs, Lao Ma successfully wiped out the evil and killed all the gang members. But unfortunately, the gang's eldest brother, Lao Ku, didn't understand before he died. What was the reason for the old soldiers and horses who didn't know each other to catch them and beat them to death?
What is the reason? Is it because the gangs usually do bad things? Or is it because of Xiaoku's rude remarks? Or is it Miyake's self-righteousness?
neither.
In fact, a lot of bad things happen and you can't find the reason. Just like Lao Ma's wife, why do you have to get on that train? Like drunk Otto, why does he have to drive with his daughter? Just like Lao Ku's younger brother, why must he look so similar to the Egyptian passer-by?
No reason. There is no reason to be lucky or unfortunate in life. You may be dancing tomorrow because you won 10 million, or you may be at a loss because your boss is dismissed. We cannot predict the future, we cannot change the past. All we can do is reconcile with ourselves. Acknowledging that there are some things we can't change, but there are things we can do better from now on.
For example, Lao Ma can let go of his prejudices and communicate with his daughter. Share your most precious time with your daughter.
Otto can get out of the guilt that drunk driving killed his daughter, heal his right hand, and face life more optimistically.
Emmen could forgive himself for being fat, accomplishing nothing, and being cowardly without pretending to be violent and not daring to sound the horn in his hand, a symbol of youth.
Leo also doesn't have to live under the psychological shadow of being beaten by his father and brother in his childhood barn because he is gay. Because he saved Ukrainian Xiaoshou Moustache, and accepted himself that he despised.
For example, me and you, we can admit our mediocrity, incompetence, and the fact that we can only become ordinary people after struggling all our lives.
The end of the film, fell on a blue bicycle. This blue bicycle is a Christmas gift from a little Estonian girl far away. Although the blue bicycle once belonged to Lao Ma's daughter, Lao Ma's wife also died indirectly because of it.
But so what, life is like that. You can't question life, why you are. God has his own plans, don't worry about lost bikes. Now that you have a new bike, have fun riding it! It doesn't matter if it's red or blue!
